20.01.2022 Quite the sight in Melbourne gardens, this beefy leaf tropical fig from the New Guinea Highlands. Visited this fine one today at RMBG with my buddies @kate_herd1 and @woollyglove. Ficus dammaropsis, aka Dinner Plate Fig is quite cold hardy and I’ll be planting one under the palms this autumn. You can also grow them indoors - if your indoors will fit one without having to throw out all the furniture.

Things a little complicate with the current resurgence, but Melbourne pickup / delivery only. 12.01.2022 Monstera adansonii -the rare one and the everywhere one. The green form is vining along happily on a diet of warmth, humidity and neglect. The variegated Precious gets same conditions but with helicopter parenting. Would being a bad mother make him a bigger plant? I’m in no way game to find out
