23.01.2022 One of my favourites.this chair has been in their family for years and has 1949 written on it from when their grandfather got it recovered, as I would put the chair at 1900’s.

23.01.2022 This just shows different buttoning styles of grandfather chairs.The colourful one is stabbed buttoning, the blue is diamond which was for the more expensive furniture.

22.01.2022 Like to thank the customers of these who didn’t complain about the amount of fabric we ordered. Both customers told Trost Upholstery that the upholstery job had to match the amazing fabrics they were using.The only way to do that is pattern match everything and that means metres, metres metres.

18.01.2022 1930-1940 Genoa lounge.In the 1990’s we would to do 3 a month, now we do 3 a year and yes I am old.

11.01.2022 When you receive a beautiful frame the fabric just falls into place, nothing to do with the 120 hours that it took. The chaise frame had 1870 on the bottom.The lounge has sprung arms, Back, seat and would be 1920-1940.

10.01.2022 Fabric selection on the aforementioned armchairs proved to be arduous over and above the upholsterers expectations..... ..or I’m too old.

08.01.2022 The colours coming through lately remind me of my early days. Yellow, blue green and 1990’s.

06.01.2022 Railway seat Crows Nest. This unusual long seat is part of Crows Nest railway history where it would of sat on the railway platform when steam engines were part of everyday life. Restored by Highfields Men Shed, to myself then homed at Crows Nest Golf Club.

06.01.2022 Always keep lines straight. Both these chairs are about 1920-1930. The green stripe would be one of the dearest fabrics we’ve used because it was hand printed.
