22.01.2022 The National Library of Australia is running a survey on how visitors interact with and receive communications from Library services, including Trove. We'd love to hear your thoughts - and in return, promise we'll receive your feedback in strictly business attire (none of us have a dressing gown this nice anyway). 15.01.2022 If the Children's Book Council of Australia Book Week has inspired you to read more as a family, remember you can search Trove for children’s books in libraries across Australia. For general searches in the Books & Libraries category, add a library subject to your search term like juvenile fiction or children’s literature. You can even add the Austlang code to search for specific languages like our example search below for children’s books written in Warlpiri. #BookWeek #CBCA2020
15.01.2022 It started as questions about historical crime - who was charged? with what crimes? how did they affect us? - and grew to search millions of pages and enrich Trove with new information. 11.01.2022 Would you be shocked to pick up a newspaper and find personal details of your neighbours’ divorce splashed across the front page? Or a debate about women attending university? Does it seem logical to print a rambling 5,000 word travel diary in a major metropolitan newspaper? News reporting has changed a lot since 1803, the date of the earliest newspaper page digitised in Trove. So for Media Literacy Week, we’re sharing some of the context you might need for a dive into our archives: https://bit.ly/31OaTMe

02.01.2022 Sometimes, you just want to make a choice with immediate results. Which one's your favourite? MacRobertson was a Victoria-based confectioner, founded in 1880, the original creators of Australian delights such as the Freddo Frog, Cherry Ripes, Old Gold, and Snack chocolates. The company was sold to Cadbury in 1967, which is why you'll still see these names on supermarket shelves. Even though the "fruit sundae" and "french nougat" flavours in Snack chocolate have mysteriously been replaced...
