25.01.2022 Troy is planning an ARC return at Rally Australia after spending most of the past four months in hospital. Troy’s treatment has now moved to a maintenance program which will now allow his strength to recover. Troy’s goal through his chemo this year was to be well enough to compete at Rally Australia. He is doing everything he can to achieve this dream. Will Orders and the Activ rally team are all working vigorously to get the newly rebuilt car ready in time in G4 trim for testing subject to Arcom approval.

24.01.2022 Troy is all set to go at Valley stages. It’s very wet and will be incredibly slippery on the clay based roads. Great opportunity to learn and develop his skills.

24.01.2022 Tough day for Troy and Bernie when they hit a dislodged rock on stage 2 which bent the steering. They had to finish the next two stages with the bent steering arm before it could be fixed at service. Then a turbo hose blew off about 10km in on the 44km stage which saw them drop more time. Unfortunately at the last service we discovered the transfer case was broken and we decided to call it a day. Troy was still very happy he got to compete and absolutely loved the event which made it all worthwhile. That’s rallying.

22.01.2022 Unfortunately Troy has had to withdraw from Subaru Rally Tasmania. Troy had picked up a virus in his blood stream that attacked his organs fairly aggressively. As a result his depleted bone morrow was stretched to its limits fighting it and he quickly became very ill. His blood pressure dropped dangerously low but has slowly improved as the Antibiotics kicked in. He will be in ICU for at least another week as he battles a new virus attacking his legs. Once he finishes battling this virus he has one last intensive round of chemo left before he enters interim maintenance which is a lot less aggressive. We are hoping to have him up and about for the Pedder's Eureka rally in a couple of months.

21.01.2022 Troy will finally be able to compete in his third ever rally this weekend at Batemans bay. After the disappointment of Rally Australia being cancelled last year he has been training very hard to build his strength to be consistent throughout the event. Our aim for him is to get through the whole rally and build his speed as the rally unfolds. With Bernie Webb calling the pacenotes his experience will be a big plus. Troy’s first two rally’s in the Australian rally championship showed his potential with consistent top 10 times.

20.01.2022 Update on Troy. He has started to recover from the infection in his blood and legs. Last week he underwent surgery to remove around 50ml of puss from inside his calfs muscles. Today he was given the green light to begin rehab next week and retrain his legs to walk after being bed ridden for over a month. He is looking forward to the Pedder's Eureka rally and getting fit enough to get back in the car. He is now through the worst of his treatment and only has a few more steps before he is in maintenance. Thank you everyone for all the kind words and love you have sent him.

19.01.2022 The last item on the check list was Troy's personal sponsor OzStaff. Now the car is ready to go as is Troy. Thanks Travice for your support from the beginning. Only a week to go.

19.01.2022 It’s been a very long time coming but Troy is finally back in the gym rebuilding his body. He is getting more excited and motivated to get back to Europe next year after a very difficult 18months of Chemo.

18.01.2022 Troy has finished the Forest rally in 7th outright and receives an ovation from all his fellow competitors. Troy had battled severe fatigue and we almost withdrew him from the event this morning as his power steering was binding up once again. To not put a scratch on the car and be around a second per km off some very fast drivers yesterday is something he can be truly proud of. Thank you to all the Activ team especially Pat and Andrew for all you did over the weekend, Will Orders for building such an amazing car and working countless hours to make it happen. To the forest rally directing team and his doctors for allowing him to compete. Simon Ellis his co driver for doing such an incredible job and looking after him. Finally his grandparents for their support and encouragement to allow Troy to do what he loves so dearly.

18.01.2022 Had a great pre event test for Rally Of The Bay cant wait to get started tomorrow the roads are looking pristine!

17.01.2022 I have some very exciting news, next week I will be testing the Up & Go G4 rally car and if everything goes well I will be driving it in the Make Smoking History forest rally which is the first round of the Australian rally championship. Will Orders and the team have done a brilliant job converting the car from full rallycross spec to fit in the G4 regulations. My dad was originally going to enter but when he saw a break in my chemo treatment asked me if I wanted to do it. I can't wait to get back into competitive racing but I have a further 10 weeks of intensive chemo when we get back from WA and then we hope I can start rebuilding my racing career.

16.01.2022 This is another video from Nicholas Cagney’s drone showcasing SEAC motorsport park and why we travel so far to test there. Some great driving from Troy today so consistently smooth and very fast. 5 straight laps this run all within .2 of a second.

14.01.2022 What an awesome day it was testing today. Troy drove very well all day and showed he still has what it takes to be competitive in Rally especially after beating his dad by 3 tenths. A huge thanks to Will Orders and the Activ RallySport team for building such an amazing car. Thank you to Kevin, Aaron and the SEAC car club for allowing us to test at their track. It’s so worth the drive.

14.01.2022 The last time Troy competed in a rally was in WA at the start of the year in the middle of his chemo program. This time he will be in a Volkswagen Polo G4 rally car and at the end of his intense chemo program. He has been looking forward to this all year..

13.01.2022 Some great footage of Troy and Simon in the Up & Go G4 rallycar by Tolley Challis at the first round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship.

12.01.2022 Troy with Simon being nice and clean through this left 3

11.01.2022 Tough morning for Troy and Bernie with the gear selectors not working but more than made up for it with equal 4th in heat 2 and 6th outright for the day. Great rally for him in really tough wet conditions and his first rally on his own pace notes. Thanks to the Activ team for all their efforts today.

10.01.2022 Troy completed 100km of testing in the G4 Rally car successfully to prove his fitness for the Forest Rally. He drove very well considering he hadn't driven since August last year and handled the car very well. A huge thank you to Will Orders, Pat, Tim, Matt and Ben for preparing such a great car. Also Simon Ellis for jumping in with him and calling the notes. Most importantly he had a grin from ear to ear all day.

09.01.2022 Troy has started his road to recovery and has now begun the long process of rebuilding his leg muscles to enable him to walk again.

07.01.2022 Troy and Simon had a great day yesterday learning how difficult the conditions in Western Australia are. Their speed continued to improve all day and they set some very respectable stage times especially considering this is only Troy's second rally. Today is a much tougher day and all we are hoping for is for Troy to have the strength to get through the day without making any major mistakes and to finish the rally.

06.01.2022 We have found that the best tyre to handle 600hp on gravel is a Hoosier.

05.01.2022 The odds are stacked up against Troy as doctors have advised there is a 75% chance the cancer will return within the treatment period. Troy's bone marrow has been sent to research centres all around the globe to find a drug that will eliminate the pathways to the mutated genes. The difficulty with treating Troy is the rareness of his Leukaemia which is called Masked Hypodiploidy. It is so rare it has only been recently named and they are conducting a paper on Troy and his treatment. With only a one in four chance of survival Troy is in the race for his life which he is determined to win. We all believe Troy can and will win this battle so much so we are planning an assault on the Australian Rally Championship in 2019.

03.01.2022 Troy had a great day testing today and also completed half the recce.

02.01.2022 An excellent way to celebrate Troy’s final round of chemo tomorrow with an excellent day testing at SEAC park in Mt Gambier. Thank you to Kevin and all those at SEAC for allowing us to use your awesome facility once again. Thanks Will and the Activ team for a great job preparing the car etc. It’s going to be a big year for Troy in 2021.

01.01.2022 Troy got to test the Up&Go G4 rally car recently in the hope that the rally season will commence soon.

01.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that Troy has been entered into the Subaru Rally Tasmania on the 22-23rd of June. Troy has two more weeks of intensive chemo and steroids ahead of him but his doctors are hopeful his bloods will recover in time to allow him to compete. Troy will have Simon Ellis calling the pace notes once again. We would like to thank Up&Go and Ozstaff for their continued support to make this happen. Will Orders has been very busy developing the car with some improvements that will see the team hopefully break the top 10 once again.
