20.01.2022 Trubarka Millennium Destiny Sitting down to dinner on Sunday November 2011, I had this sudden feeling I should go check on a pregnant Miss Thyme. Next thing I knew we had puppies arriving left right and centre. After losing four pups, we poured all of our focus into raising our precious gifts....Leia, 'Luke' and 'Solo'. At four weeks of age I realised why the gods gifted puppies tails, they make mighty fine tugging toys. Solo had it down to a fine art, he could drag his sis...ter Leia across the whelping box without Leia looking remotely fazed by his antics. When the pups ventured out into the big wide world, never, ever, would I have thought that the largest pup, Solo, could manage to squeeze himself into a downpipe drain ditch, but he did. As Solo grew up I realised where his forever home was, and I distinctly remember saying to our dear friends....I'm on my way south with your puppy, hope you are ready!! Being our first litter, I don't think I was quite ready to part ways but I always knew that Solo had found his destiny. Over the years we were blessed with Sir Walter's visits. Wally truly never realised how big he was. He sure made any humans trek down our stairs hair raising when the mad border collie rush off the deck was in full flight. Much to his sisters delight Wally's mother Thyme was the only one that could break his tail nipping tendencies. Never seen such a big dog try to sink into the ground under the chocolate mamma stare. Big boy you gifted us with so many wonderful memories. You started our journey to become border collie breeders. You cemented a life long friendship. You live on, in our hearts and in your nephew. Han Solo...May the force be with you, always.
