Why do you think the state government are going against their own bypass policy by forcing their cheap anti-ring road 'preferred option' onto the Newell Highway in Dubbo? The Stop the River St Bridge Dubbo - Troy Bridge bypass now, not 2040 Campaign & other pro bypass organisations like the Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association have their own suspicions but they would like to hear ...truckies opinions and insights. Truckin Australia believes there is no good reason to inflict the catastrophe that would be the River St Bridge on Dubbo & the Newell Highway. The NSW Government knows that bypasses increase safety, reduce traffic accidents and increase the efficiency of the transport industry. They know it because they use these arguments all the time and have research to back up their policy. Bypasses rarely have the negative effects on town economies that are feared. The RMS have done research into that issue too. Larger towns and cities grow and prosper after getting ring roads.
