24.01.2022 Another amazing recent weekend visit by True Blue Dreaming mentors to Bruce Rock. Many highlights, just one being the joint creation of an artwork by mentors and mentees - Youthbooth - for installation in the old Westpac bank building which is getting a makeover into a youth centre.

16.01.2022 Another great weekend visit by True Blue Dreaming mentors from St George's College to Wyalkatchem recently. Friday evening included a bunch of activities with 13 kids from Wylie High School, including basketball, capture the flag, capture the lantern and a contest to build the biggest balloon tower, all fuelled by a roast chicken and vegie dinner generously provided by Applecross Rotary. To finish the night, everyone watched the movie Blindside. Then on Saturday a visit to Yo...rkie Rock for a slippery climb and some damper and stories about this significant ancient place from local Elders Kevan and Rose Davis. Huge thanks to Francis, Francois and Fay for looking after the campers, including the late night rescue operations to fix tents battered by some fierce wheatbelt rain and wind. The mentees' spirits were apparently undampened by the weather! 'A really fun trip", according to Chris. 'A great experience for everybody', we all had fun', reported Zeke. See more

13.01.2022 Thank you to Applecross Rotary for inviting some of our mentors to speak at their Tuesday Breakfast Meeting this morning. Since 2016 Applecross Rotary have been proud sponsors of our Wheatbelt programs in Bruce Rock and Wyalkatchem. Thank you for your invaluable continued support!

11.01.2022 From the Kimberley to Crawley! A group of True Blue Dreaming students from Halls Creek, Derby and Fitzroy joined our Patron, the Governor, the Hon. Kerry Sanderson AO, for morning tea at St Catherine's College last week, as part of a camp to get a better understanding of what it might be like to go to uni or TAFE in the city far from home. Also there were some of their great Indigenous mentors, many from the same communities, who are currently studying and living at St Cats. Thanks also to the many other True Blue Dreaming supporters who came along, including Barry Maguire for his Welcome to Country.

11.01.2022 Congrats to our founder and Board member James Fitzpatrick on being nominated for 2017 WA Australian of the Year. An exciting and busy weekend!

04.01.2022 This morning, we held a morning tea at St Catherine's College, UWA to acknowledge and thank all the sponsors and mentors of the True Blue Dreaming program. 02.01.2022 Recently the True Blue Dreaming mentors from St George’s College headed to Wyalkatchem for the weekend to meet the kids they have been mentoring for the last year. The weekend was filled with exciting and interesting activities, including a trip to Korre reserve with guidance from local Indigenous elder Rose, a few rounds of golf, AFL footy on the big screen, volunteer painting of some new curb numbers around town, and lots of delicious food and laughter in between. A fantast...ic weekend had by all! A huge thank you to the Wyalkatchem and Applecross Rotary Clubs for their continued support, and to St Georges College, the local butcher and Rose for their donations of time and meals for the mentors and mentees.

02.01.2022 Our fantastic St George's College mentors played host last weekend to 15 kids in the 2016 Wyalkatchem program. Saturday morning was spent at the college getting to know each other, then lunch in the dining hall, and tenpin bowling in Morley in the afternoon. After a very enjoyable - and competitive - afternoon it was back on the bus for the trip back to Wylie. A very successful day and well done to Francis and Jan for organising. Next catch up in Wylie in early August!
