23.01.2022 What are mealybugs? Mealybugs are scale insects that suck the sap out of the leaves and stems of plants, resulting in stunted or deformed leaf growth, yellowi...ng of the leaves, and leaf drop. To protect your crop against any unwanted visitors in the garden, treat your patch with an all-organic spray such as #Searles Ecofend Vegetable & Garden Spray. Learn more about our Ecofend Vegetable & Garden Spray here https://loom.ly/NpPqx0M

23.01.2022 What happens when you don’t eat your artichoke hearts? They bloom of course. Globe artichokes are one of my favourite vegetables to grow. Besides loving eating... the hearts of the flower buds marinated in olive oil, garlic and a mix of herbs, they are just a really beautiful plant. The striking contrasting large serrated silver foliage is a statement on its own in any edible garden. If you don’t harvest the large leathery flower buds they will open into the beautiful vibrant purple flower pictured below. And the bees love them. It’s too late really to plant these now in the subtropics but make a note for autumn next year.
