04.01.2022 I figured it's about time I introduce myself to my beautiful customers and followers. My name is Megan, I'm 28 years old. I live in a beautiful little quiet town called Bethanga in regional Victoria. I work full time in federal government and I'm a mum to a beautiful 5 year old, Millie. My partner is Colin and he works away. A lot! In fact he's basically never around but we love it when he is! We run a little hobby farm with some chooks and sheep and most of you have already... been introduced to our 3 legged puppy shadow. I'm pretty busy actually. Which is how True north was born. During the COVID pandemic we were forced into lockdown and forced to change our routines and rethink our way of life. It enabled us to slow down a little and appreciate the little things in life. Being so busy, I never really had time to explore anything of interest, anything that got my creative juices flowing. I was scrolling through my news feed one night when I saw an ad for some gorgeous earrings. I was intrigued and stunned. I scrolled and scrolled through these designs and couldn't find anything I loved, anything that was truly 'me'. So I thought, why not have a go at making my own?! I did some research and decided to bite the bullet and get myself a kit. My little basics kit has certainly expanded since then. I had no idea I would ever sell my designs. I simply wanted to create art for myself and my friends. Turns out, people like my stuff! 4 months on, I have stock at my local post office, a store in Albury and Beechworth, I have online orders through Etsy and I set up at my first market on the weekend proving to be a successful day! I'm incredibly humbled by the support from my friends, family and followers and continue to build my business in order to meet your expectations and offer you beautiful one of a kind handmade earrings.
