25.01.2022 Congratulations to Dylan Griffiths for coming second place in the Weight Loss challenge! Over the 8 weeks Dylan showed a fantastic commitment to training moving from 2 to 3 personal training sessions a week and pushed himself to the max in the group classes. He made great improvements to his diet by increasing his protein intake, reducing fat intake and cutting out alcohol. Hard work, consistency and determination has lead to his amazing results!... Dylan's results: weight: -6.3kg bio age: - 2 Body Fat mass: - 4.5kg Viseral fat mass: -0.8kg Body fat percentage: - 3.8% This is the second silver medal of the challenge for the Griffiths household as Dylan's wife Miriam claimed 2nd place in the female body comp challenege. 22.01.2022 Congratulations to one of True PT's longest serving clients Adam Milbank on completing the UTA50 in Katoomba NSW. Adam completed the 50km trail run in a jaw dropping 10hrs and 18 minutes. Adam has been following a specific running programme to help prepare for this event and training with the Sydney Striders. ... To help make sure his body was able to absorb and dominate the rigorous course, Adam has been following a specific strength training programme to help ensure his muscles, bones and joints are in the best condition possible for the race. 13.01.2022 A massive congratulations to the Winner of the Female weight loss challenge Eve Wooldridge See her amazing results and the story of her challenge experience in her own words. Total body weight loss: 9kgs... Fat mass: decrease 6.5kgs Body fat Percentage: from 33.8 - 29% -4.8% -1.1kgs of Visceral fat Why did Eve start? After having a couple of years with no consistent strength training, I started training at True PT in May. I wanted to lose fat but mainly wanted to change how I felt when clothes shopping. I wanted that feeling in the changing room of nothing looking good and choosing what looks ‘the best of a bad bunch’ to become my choice of ‘what will I pick out of all these great options’. I wanted to feel like anything I tried on wasn’t ruined by bulges here and there. At the end of the challenge, I went shopping and spent more than I budgeted because I had so many good options. What worked this time over others? Consistency and not having too high a deficit. My trainer Chris understood my triggers and made sure it wasn’t too rigid and that there were no foods off limits. I tracked my food every day and hydrated properly. I built in weekends away that I knew were going to be more indulgent so that I could work around them without guilt. I also weighed myself every day as I wanted to learn and change my mindset on the normal fluctuations that happen from various foods, but also just being a woman with hormonal changes throughout the month. I now understand why the scales don’t move or go up and down. I feel like I have a much more healthy mentality about it now. My next goal is buying a bikini for summer...I’m sure we all agree that’s the hardest changing room experience, but I’m feeling good and looking forward to that being a better experience too.
