23.01.2022 Great to see the buildings at the Explosives Reserve being used by community groups. This is exactly the reason we have been restoring them!

23.01.2022 The TERPS Christmas Break-up on Saturday was a great success. Sincere thanks to Crs Colleen Gates and Sandra Wilson for their support.

20.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who supported our Open Days in 2019. As we progress with the restoration of the buildings and gardens our visitor numbers have been increasing, and now a significant number are from outside Hobsons Bay, having seen our events listed on Facebook. Thanks also to our volunteers, who regularly turn out in all weather to welcome the visitors. Eleanor and John and their daughters Lyn and Donna have done a wonderful job with the afternoon teas at Open Days and the word is getting out about how good they are! Open Days will resume on Sunday 2 February 2020, and thereafter on the first Sunday of the month, from 1.00 to 4.00 pm.

14.01.2022 More photos from World Wetlands Day at the Reserve last Saturday.

11.01.2022 Living at the Explosives Reserve was often quite lonely for the families in the houses. This is 'Joyce's Story' - the oral history of Joyce Hyde, wife of the last Officer-in-Charge of the Reserve, Leslie George (Joe) Hyde. Joyce and Joe and their children lived in both houses, between 1953 and 1973. The oral history project was carried out in 2004, and students from RMIT did the animations. A full set of 11 histories of the people who lived and worked there are available from... Williamstown Library. Sincere thanks to Owen Hyde (Joyce's son) for this animation. Owen is a member of the Truganina Explosives Reserve Advisory Committee (TERAC) of Hobsons Bay City Council and a member of TERPS. Make sure the sound is on when you watch this video......

06.01.2022 A great drone shot of the Reserve, taken by Rey Tan on 17 April 2020. Thanks to Rey and Hobsons Bay City Council for permission to use it here.

06.01.2022 SUSPENSION OF OPEN DAYS. Due to the COVID-19 crisis we have made the difficult decision to suspend Open Days until further notice. There will be no Open Day on Sunday 5 April, and the extended Open Day on Sunday 3 May is also cancelled. ... As soon as the situation has eased we will resume our Open Days, on the first Sunday of every month except January.
