02.01.2022 Valued customers. We are keeping up to date with the SA Health website on a regular basis. At this stage we are still operating with our normal opening hours. COVID requirements have been in place for many months already and we stress the importance to abide to these. We also encourage you to please not visitif you have been unwell or been in a current COVID hot spot. To help keep the shop running smoothly and safely when purchasing items place your clothing on the tables ...provided, coat hangers go in the tubs proved and bag your own items. Lastly, we are limiting donations. If you are able to please hold onto these until partner notice. We thank you all for your support See more

01.01.2022 Here is a little bit of information about our AMAZING COMMUNITY OP SHOP Our op shop is run entirely by VOLUNTEERS. These super boys and girls go every two weeks to sort through a mammoth mountain of donations through the ROTARY collection bins. Many pieces of treasure (and a fair amount of trash) are sorted through. Bags of quality items are bought back to the op shop for final sorting and filling of the racks. We also appreciate donations during our opening hours. A...t the op shop we PRIDE ourselves in welcoming everyone!! We love helping our customers fill their bags with bargains. It’s not often someone leaves the shop empty handed. We are always on the lookout to recruit new volunteers. We are very blessed to have some DEDICATED support which keeps our doors open for business, creating a friendly environment and supporting the community. So far we have managed to financially support the TRURO COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION in insulation, heating and cooling in the good old hall. All of our racking and furnishing can be all moved. The town hall is still used for other events including Elections , Night Bowls and meetings/gathering. We have some pretty handy people who have spent many hours adjusting, building, re-enforcing, adding wheels and just ‘tinkering’ to make things easier for everyone’s backs and legs!! Next time your in the shop have a look and think about the task of having to move everything. Lastly, we are PROUD of our shop. There have been many many interesting customers. Mum’s looking for book week costumes, fancy dress costumes, the bargain hunters, the people doing it tough, backpackers, cross dressers, wedding attire shopping, going for an interview suits , bucks show boys and much much more. We LOVE to hear about your bargain find. Tell your friends, family, neighbours and work mates about the TRURO COMMUNITY OP SHOP. As the saying goes .... ONE MANS TRASH IS ANOTHER MANS TREASURE.
