24.01.2022 Hi everyone, with the councillor vote count almost done now, I would just like to say that I have been unsuccessful in securing a position on council.I would like to congratulate the councillors that did make it and good luck for the future. I would like to thank all the people who have helped me along the way and all the people who have followed me, shared and liked my Facebook page. It has been an interesting journey, I have learnt more about council, met a number of new pe...ople and have spoken to lots of people over a variety of subjects. Hope everyone stays safe in the current situation and once again, thank you for your support and maybe we look to 2024 election??

21.01.2022 Voting day. Vote 1 Michael Truskinger. Thank you to our awesome team of helpers today, who were up at the crack of dawn in order to start putting signs up at the polling booths in the Toowoomba Region.

18.01.2022 Have you seen this doggy? Apparently my ‘Dogs are people too’ campaign has been so popular with the locals, these signs have been disappearing. I’m stoked they have become collector items, but I’d love it if everyone could wait until after the election to ‘souvenir’ them,.. so Huxley can hang around for the Vote Day excitement. Sit Huxley. Sit. Staaaaaay! Good boy!

18.01.2022 Just finished day four at the pre-poll booth on Victoria St. It's great to see people getting a jump on election day, trickling through in manageable numbers, thus ensuring social distancing is adhered to. Pre-Voting at 2 central venues continues for everyone, right up to election day...currently listed as: Saturday 9am-5pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9am-6pm Wednesday and Thursday 9am-9pm.... 15.01.2022 I hope everybody is staying safe. There are only a few days to the election and remember that you can still pre-poll. If you are unable to leave your home, there is an option for phone voting as well. All you need to do is call 1300 912 782, pick option 1, leave your details and then you have to ring back to place your vote. I have attached a How To Vote card and also some information about the key issues of my campaign.

08.01.2022 There are 6 pre-polling locations in Toowoomba Region, operating Monday to Friday. - Toowoomba, The Good Shed on Victoria St. - Toowoomba, The shopping centre at corner of Long and Ruthven Streets. - Oakey, 64 Campbell Street.... - Millmerrin, 2-16 Campbell Street. - Pittsworth, 85 Yandilla Street. - Crows Nest, 25 Emu Creek Road. Hours are 9am - 6pm, Mon, Tue, Fri, and 9am - 9pm Wed and Thu. These hours may vary for outer regions or due to daily health care updates from ECQ.
