24.01.2022 Another busy day! Swipe to see. . Ripped out most of the plants from these garden beds except for a couple of birds of paradise. Then layed a nice thick layer of biomat mulch ready for some new plants ... There are so many benefits to adding mulch regularly to your garden. Some benefits of mulch are... It helps the soil retain moisture by reducing the amount of water lost to evaporation by protecting the soil. It helps the roots to remain at a more constant temperature by insulating them from the weather. It breaks down and provides valuable nutrients to the soil and plants. It reduces the amount of weeds that will grow because weeds need light. But remember, if you only do a thin layer, weeds will love it because they will love the warm soil, so always do a good thick layer of mulch It improves the overall appearance of your garden and makes it easier to maintain. . #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ichoosesa @ Prospect, South Australia
24.01.2022 A great review from Noisyworld on Bluetooth hearing protection. This is why I love my Honeywell Sync Wireless Earmuffs so much. https://noisyworld.org/bluetooth-hearing-protection-earmuf/
24.01.2022 R u ok? There is so much help available, but many dont ask for it for various reasons. Make the first move, ask if theyre ok and start a conversation
23.01.2022 Have been using Bioweed for a few months now with excellent results. This post is worth a read to understand how it works
22.01.2022 Another tidy up done and dusted It's seriously satisfying getting edges back under control. I really enjoy seeing the smiles on tenants faces when they can get their lawns and gardens sorted. For this job I used the beast STIHL FS131R to make light work of the massively overgrown, thick lawn to get back to the concrete edge again. Combined with the 2.7mm round Trail Blazer Line it did it with ease.... #trustedgarden #stihl #lawnedging #australia #timelapse
22.01.2022 You probably already noticed, but I do all my social media and advertising myself I really enjoy it and love seeing the results. 20.01.2022 Throwback to Aug 2018. Im super proud to say the Alex from @irislgc used to be part of the @trustedgarden team. Its was a pleasure training and mentoring him years ago and I loved seeing him grow in confidence. Early on I encouraged him to run his own garden maintenance business and it has been fantastic watching his business grow. Have a peek at what hes up to these days @irislgc . Everyone that knows me knows Im a big believer in sharing knowledge and not worrying abou...t the competition. I believe there is so much business and opportunity around that everyone can benefit. This is true more than ever and I honestly love getting messages and questions from other gardening guys/gals in the industry, keep them coming! Seriously.... If you want to know anything, just ask . Trusted Tip: If you want to increase your efficiency, get yourself a pair of these Honeywell Sync Wireless Earmuffs! You can talk on your phone via Bluetooth while youre mowing/blowing/hedging/sawing, the noise doesnt matter!!! Ive been using them for years and I now sell them via Amazon. Check out the link in my bio p.s let me know if you want to hear a demo of them in action. . . . #trustedgarden #adelaide #southaustralia #ppe #supportlocal See more
20.01.2022 If you're on TikTok, we would love you to follow us and like/comment on our videos It really helps grow our local business and have some fun at the same time Thanks so much for your ongoing support, it means the world to us https://vm.tiktok.com/ZSuExEU9/
19.01.2022 Bit of a wet wintery day in #prospect today. We still managed to get all of our jobs done. How? With fortnightly maintenance each visit is about managing the growth of the lawn, treating/pulling small weeds, light hedging and pruning, tidy up fallen leaves and more. So we dont have overgrown long lawns and crazy weeds to stop us when its a bit drizzly. Ive been in the business 8 years now and have learnt that any longer than fortnightly visits and the properties quickly... start looking very average. The season is irrelevant, but each season is different tasks. If you get a quote from @trustedgarden for regular lawn mowing and garden maintenance it will be fortnightly only and I make no apologies for that. I very strongly believe that its the best solution to having your lawn and garden looking its best. I want your friends and neighbours to be jealous of your property and so we can be proud to say that its our work #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal See more
19.01.2022 New addition to our fortnightly maintenance program today. Really excited to be maintaining the head office of @baileypgsa They are a fantastic local SA business and if you need assistance with Real Estate then make sure you contact them Imagine this is your office! Gorgeous building and the lawn and garden look fantastic. Taking pride in the presentation of your business or home is super important. First impressions last!! I know personally when I see a business that has a... messy overgrown garden, I immediately wonder how organised they are and whether they take pride in what they do ( Especially restaurants, does a messy overgrown garden = messy kitchen...?) Trusted Tip: If you run a business and you have garden and/or lawn, take a moment and look at it from the point of view of potential customers eyes.... What do you see ? #trustedgarden #adelaide #adelaiderealestate #southaustralia #adelaideproperty #prospectroadsa
19.01.2022 Overgrown edges are easy work with the right tools. Having a defined edge makes a huge visual difference and I think makes more impact to the look of your lawn than mowing does. Trusted Tip: If you do your own edges and want advice on methods or equipment, you are more than welcome to send me a message or reach out in the many @facebook groups related to lawn care. There are so many people that love to help you! #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal
18.01.2022 Do you have amazing artwork in your garden? How incredible does this look!! This fantastic artwork was done by @leah.grant at one of our fortnightly maintenance jobs (make sure you check out her page and her other artwork!). Leah is super talented!! The lovely owner saw Leahs artwork around @prospectroadsa and then commissioned the work for home. Love this so much!! Supporting local talent and making the world more beautiful!!... #trustedgarden #adelaide #southaustralia #adelaideart #adelaideartist #adelaideartists #supportlocal #ichoosesa
18.01.2022 This nature strip from our new fortnightly maintenance client today may not look instagram worthy, but I still wanted to share the type of work that we do. It was very overgrown and looking very average when we arrived, but now it looks presentable. It will never look bad again now and will definitely improve every visit. Hopefully we can influence some other properties along the street Trusted Tip: in our experience looking after your yard is contagious. Often weve done j...obs over the years and seen more properties nearby improve shortly after. It probably is a little bit of peer pressure, but in this case I think its a good thing #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal
16.01.2022 Creeping Fig Love this Creeping Fig that has begun covering this wall. This snap is from our first fortnightly visit at this fantastic property last week after giving everything a good trim We dont pretend to be experts on plants, but well always share what knowledge we have and share what weve learnt. Creeping Fig aka Ficus Pumila... fast to establish which makes it perfect to cover walls, fences, archways, sheds etc. "sticky feet" which gives it the ability to attach to most things and is therefore self clinging. be cautious, the roots are super sticky and can mark walls/paint when you remove them. preferably plant in a mostly shaded location. mulch and water regularly and trim shoots and shape as required. #trustedgarden #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal
16.01.2022 Make sure you keep your lawn edging on track. Over time it can get away from you and before you know it your foot can fit in the edge !!! Trusted Tip: Resist the urgent to cut deeper and chase the grass. Stay on your line and use the right tools. Ive also found that the size of the line you use on your trimmer makes a big difference #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal
16.01.2022 Swipe for the before. I hear a lot when Im quoting new customers that other lawn mowing businesses only want to mow lawns. That may suit some people, but in my experience over the last 8 years a majority of people want more than just their lawns mowed. This job today genuinely made me happy. I love getting down and dirty and making a huge difference to peoples gardens. The transformations are always satisfying!! Im not too precious and happy to pull weeds ... Really happy to have another super friendly client join our fortnightly maintenance program. Im super thankful for all my incredible clients that put their trust in my business. Ill keep doing my best to provide you a service that Im proud of and if we ever let you down Ill personally make sure you get your issue solved Trusted Tip: Spraying weeds early when they first start appearing is really the key to having a weed free garden. We use @bioweed_organic in all our fortnightly maintenance jobs and its perfect to quickly kill those pesky weeds before they are a problem and you can literally watch them die!! #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #gardenmaintenance @ Enfield, South Australia
16.01.2022 Looking for entertainment for your kids these school holidays? Make sure you take them to GameRoom Essentials!! Our kids had a blast there. So many games!!!!! Its an absolute bargain and theyll have a ball!! If youre my age then youll also enjoy reliving a lot of the arcade games I played when I was younger. NBA Jam and Daytona are probably 2 of my favourites

14.01.2022 Do you like Scoria? Scoria is one product Ive never ever supplied to a customer. Especially next to a lawn its deadly. Scoria is lightweight so it often ends up on the lawn, yet heavy enough to be shot out of a mower or whipper snipper like a missile. This job today was my second visit at this new fortnightly maintenance job. On the first visit I applied "Bow and Arrow" herbicide to treat the weeds in the lawn. This second visit I was extra careful to make sure no Scoria wa...s on the lawn before I gave it a first mow. The lawn came up pretty well Trusted Tip: never use Scoria! There are so many other options for your garden beds. Scoria may last forever, but it has no benefits to the plants or soil and its a pain next to grass #trustedgarden #lawntips #saynotoscoria #lawn #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ichoosesa

14.01.2022 Jason on with some awesome edges today. Jasons edging skills have sky rocketed since he joined the @trustedgarden team a year ago. Hes the perfect match for our core business which is Fortnightly Complete Garden Maintenance and Lawn Mowing . Trusted Tip: Lawn Edging takes practice, but anyone can learn if you have the patience. We find it easier with a straight shaft line trimmer and smaller 2.4mm line. A steady hand and a smooth side step will give you a schmick straight cut . #trustedgarden #lawntips #mowing #adelaidegardeners #adelaidesmallbusiness #southaustralia #adelaide
13.01.2022 Want to see this after a quick tidy?? Then Swipe This small tidy up from yesterday morning was a bigger transformation than I expected. It just needed some lovin to get it back under control. The customer provided 2 bags of red mulch which I spread once the tidy was done. It was just enough to cover the area, but another bag or 2 would finish it off nicely. Its great to see the feeling of relief on customers faces once their yard is back to a manageable condition. That...s one of my favourite parts of the job Trusted Tip: Managing weeds can be simple if you stay on top of them. Have a bottle of weed spray handy and give any weed a spray as soon as you spot it. If you spray them early they will die and disappear like magic!! Ive been using @bioweed_organic as part of our fortnightly regular maintenance programs for all of our customers and the results are awesome, plus its pet friendly, organic and you see the results in minutes!! #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ichoosesa @ Adelaide, South Australia

12.01.2022 Really excited everytime we get a new customer join our fortnightly maintenance program. Super happy to have another great customer put their trust in us. This job is like many we quote in that it was being maintained by a lawn mowing business, but they only wanted to mow the lawns. In my experience a majority of people want their lawns and garden maintained by the same company. Thats what we do Trusted Tip: When looking around for a business to look after your gardens..., make sure you ask exactly what they are going to do for you... Just the lawns or more?? Also make sure you ask if they are genuinely reliable and organised. You shouldnt need to chase us! #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #gardenmaintenance See more
12.01.2022 Hedging can be tricky in certain situations with difficult access. This particular hedge has many plants growing around it as ground cover so I need to watch every step. On one occasion I actually lost my footing trying to avoid a plant, fell off the small wall and ended up laying flat out on the lawn. Luckily only my pride was injured. Trusted Tip: As I always say, the right equipment is key for maintaining your garden. I primarily use @stihl_au equipment in my business, but if you are looking to purchase any gear, make sure you reach out to myself or to the many @facebook groups for genuine advice. Some of the equipment out there is pretty bad, I see abandoned equipment regularly in many backyards . So make sure you do your homework #trustedgarden #adelaide #southaustralia #hedgesofinstagram #stihl
12.01.2022 Dogs are a daily part of our job at Trusted Were more than happy to work along side of your furry family member and most of our regular dogs love having a visitor every fortnight Luckily Ive only been bitten on the butt once haha. We now use @bioweed_organic for weed control at our fortnightly maintenance jobs and the big plus is that its 100% organic and pet friendly! You can rest assured that your pets are safe. Trusted Tip: If you dog is a bit unsure of welcome... visitors, treats or toys a can be a good way of forming a connection. Throw a ball or a bone to most dogs and theyre your best mate for life. But always make sure you know the dogs behaviour beforehand from the owner as not all dogs will act in the way you predict. #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ndis #ndisaustralia #dogsofnstagram See more
12.01.2022 I have worms. Did you know worms recycle waste aerobically which means they dont create any pollution? When you throw your organic waste into a regular bin, it goes to landfill, then once it breaks down it releases methane which is a nasty greenhouse gas. The worms in a worm farm will eat around 3-4 kg of kitchen waste weekly! They then turn it into worm castings which is amazing plant food and worm tea which is an incredible liquid fertiliser. ... The worm tea is perfect for indoor plants and its so easy to use. There is a tap at the bottom of the farm and you just fill up a cup each week and pour it on your favourite indoor plants and watch for the results! Trusted Tip: Make sure you keep the tap open all time with a bucket underneath. The work farm needs to breath and if too much water is sitting inside the farm it can get pretty stinky! #trustedgarden #southaustralia #adelaide #ichoosesa #indoorplants #brandsouthaustralia #gardentips
11.01.2022 Over 8 years my style of social media posting has changed a lot. This OLD before and after picture has generated a lot of quote requests over the years and weve literally done 100s of big clean-ups of similar overgrown yards. This is pretty much the style of photo I posted for years ( mainly on Facebook in the Early days).Im lucky if you are reading this because these day most people will just scroll past a dull picture like this. The one thing that hasnt changed is mak...ing sure we work hard to give you the best results possible and providing great value. I actually really enjoy growing my business using social media content and hopefully sharing some decent tips to you along the way. Trusted Tip: When using social media for your business, filters are your friend. I consider myself relatively knowledgeable in regards to promoting my business passionately on socials and I have learnt that if your content isnt visually appealing, people wont even bother to stop and read what youre saying. My goal is to improve my business, be profitable and provide you with value #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal

09.01.2022 Your garden will love you if you give it some quality mulch Weve been adding mulch to many of our fortnightly maintenance jobs recently. This job we used Biomat which is one of our favourites because its naturally dark (not dyed like some are!), rich in nutrients, stays in place well and is a mixture of bark and fine mulch. Trusted Tip: Dont be too skimpy when adding mulch. When ordering your quantity, make sure you allow enough to give a decent covering. We see many gar...dens that the mulch has barely covered the surface which isnt very effective and looks crappy!! #trustedgarden #supportlocal #adelaiderealestate #adelaidesmallbusiness #southaustralia #adelaide #adelaidemummy
06.01.2022 Do you maintain your council verge? In #Lightsview there is a lot of lawn on council strips. Some are looked after well, others not so much.... This new customer has their lawns mowed and edged every fortnight now by @trustedgarden as well as their entire garden maintained by us. Having the council strip edge and mowed regularly makes such a visual impact on your property. Trusted Tip: know your sprinkler locations and use your line trimmer to keep them clear We maintain o...ver 100 properties on a fortnightly rotation so its important that we keep track of where sprinklers are. Occasionally we get it wrong and chop the head off a sprinkler , but dont worry, we fix them up #trustedgarden #ichoosesa #lawncare #lawntips #adelaide #southaustraliabusiness #southaustralia #supportlocal
06.01.2022 I Love Star Jasmine Its not flowering currently, but looking forward to when it does because I have many jobs I can share with you (plus we recently planted a dozen along our fence at home). . Star Jasmine likes good drainage and a spot thats either full sun or part shade. . Provide it plenty of support because it wont cling to objects by itself.... . Trim off any overgrown vines in early spring to keep it maintained and growing in the area you want. . Fertilise in the beginning of the growing season. . 05.01.2022 What are your thoughts on river pebbles? Im a fan. But a common fear I hear is that people say they dont like them because random people throw them through windows. Id love to if anyone has had this happen to themselves or someone they know in real life or is it just an urban myth? As someone that uses a lawn mower very regularly, gravel is our worst enemy if near lawns because it inevitably makes its way onto the lawn and they can become missiles if hit by a mower blade. ... Large river pebbles look great in my opinion and they are "blower resistant" So you can blow debris and leaves straight off them. Trusted Tip: When choosing a product like gravel, pebbles, mulch etc, do your research first because it can be a real pain to change it later and will cost you a lot of $$. #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ichoosesa
04.01.2022 How awesome are these raised garden beds on wheels! They are perfect for anyone that loves gardening, but are also perfect for anyone that may also have limited mobility or are in a wheelchair. This new #ndis client I visited today has 4 of them and is doing an incredible job growing herbs and veggies, they look fantastic! Even better news is theyre only $55 at @bunnings. Because they also have wheels they can easily be moved into a better position in the yard depending on ...conditions. Trusted Tip: Make sure if you get one of these you also get decent soil. It makes all the difference!! Also I recommend trying out a wormfarm as it would make a perfect addition to the raised garden beds to provide the soil an extra boost #ndisaustralia #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ndisadelaide @ Adelaide, South Australia
04.01.2022 A new fortnightly maintenance job added today. This was our first visit and were super happy to have another beautiful property to maintain. Swipe to see it before we got stuck into it There are lots of hedges, but that makes us happy Looking forward to improving the lawn over the coming months and getting the weeds under control. Trusted Tip: Try and do things that you enjoy. If you enjoy hedging, mowing and gardening then learn as much as you can go do the best job pos...sible. If you dislike it, try and find a gardener that is passionate about their work, youll see the results. You can then spend time doing the things you love #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal #ichoosesa @ Walkerville
03.01.2022 Swipe to see the before . Really enjoyed sprucing up this gorgeous property this morning. The lovely owners have done a fantastic job regularly maintaining their beautiful gardens, lawns and house and just needed a bit of extra help with some hedges and pruning. ... . The first open inspection is soon and Im sure everyone that comes to visit will be blown away by all aspects of the property. It really is a stunner inside and out and the level of detail in preparation is awesome. . . Trusted Tip: When selling make sure you listen to the expert advice from your agent. 03.01.2022 Another new hedge job completed today Swipe across for some before photos. Really enjoyed this job and was super fun. Happy to say that we have another lovely customer join our @trustedgarden family for regular maintenance. Really lucky to have so many friendly, appreciative customers to... serve daily . Trusted Tip: Having a hedge trimmer with an adjustable angle head is perfect to use to get behind a hedge if its growing through lattice or something similar. 03.01.2022 Wrong equipment for the job? This time of year we start getting a lot more new quotes to tidy up overgrown gardens and lawns. Once your lawn and weeds get out of control it takes a lot of effort to get it sorted. Generally the average equipment that most people have will really struggle to get through the heavy growth. Often people underestimate how much green waste there will be too and it can be depressing emptying dozens of catcher loads. Your green bin wont be big ...enough... Trusted Tip: The sooner you combat your overgrown lawn and garden, the easier it will be If you decide to get a gardening business to do the work for you, make sure you check if they are taking away the green waste or just slashing the overgrown grass. Ive seen many jobs that are just slashed and they look awful for months and usually turn into a sludgy mess #trustedgarden #lawncare #gardentips #adelaide #southaustralia #supportlocal See more

01.01.2022 Does your garden need a little spruce up? Grab some mulch, it really can make a big impact with a relatively small expense that gives many benefits. This fortnightly regular job has no front lawn, but the addition of some redgum bark recently has changed the look of the property immediately. The benefit of redgum bark over the "forever red" bark is its naturally various shades of red vs red dyed pine bark chips. It lasts a long time Trusted Tip: Grab a mulching shovel if y...ou plan to add mulch yourself. It saves so much time!!!! #trustedgarden #adelaide #southaustralia #ichoosesa #sagreat #gardeningtips
