25.01.2022 NATSI Children’s Day is a day to celebrate the strengths and culture of our children and an opportunity for us to show our support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Hearing children’s voices today plays a crucial role in their development towards being influential Elders and leaders of the future. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are only half as likely to access early child care services than non-Indigenous children, while preschool attendance... rates are low in each state and territory, despite enrolments being relatively high. To achieve equality, we must approach these challenges through a holistic approach, considering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s wellbeing, safety and development. #EldersOfTomorrow #NATSIChildrensDay2020 #EldersOfTomorrow #StrongInCulture #EarlyLearningMatters SNAICC

23.01.2022 Heres a fun selection of home activities designed to extend and develop your child's fine motor skills (finger muscles) and cognitive skills (brain muscle ). ... Place leaves under a piece of white paper then rub paper with crayons to see the leaf print appear. Alternatively use leaves to create a collage or paint over leaves to create patterns and silhouettes. Use a hole punch to make ecofriendly confetti from your collected leaves. Place your leaves in a large container or box then hide small objects such as toys and figurines amongst the leaves. When you're ready ask your child to find each item.
