25.01.2022 What a rippa day to be out on the footy field/netball court. Certainly a contrast from last Sunday. Ganmain sure have some fantastic facilities over there. How many Ganmain pies did we all eat? Well done to our award winners The Mortimer Apparel socks and hats have definitely been a favoured prize. A big thanks to Intersport also for our gift vouchers. Improvement from all football and netball grades are evident as the season progresses. Thanks Mums and Dads for volunt...eering with our goal umpiring, scoring and even just supporting our little ones on the side lines. Coaches, as always, thank you. Talking to some of the children today, it was nice to hear their adjectives to describe their coaches. Next week is our final home game at Uranquinty. See you all at training on Thursday.

25.01.2022 10s Netballers! Last game this week in some pretty wet conditions!! Great job girls

25.01.2022 Up and attem Magpies!

25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all our wonderful TRYC dads. I caught up with a few good lookin roosters and their little Magpies today. A few rough ones too

24.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! This Sunday, accessing Uranquinty netball court and football field might mean you take an alternative route. Due to work on the railway, there will NO ACCESS to our fields via Olympic highway. ... All TRYC and Turvey Park parents will need to enter Uranquinty via Churches Plain Road or Uranquinty Cross Road. For more information, please refer to emails sent with maps.

23.01.2022 NOTE CHANGE IN GAME TIMES This week we have a home game at Quinty against North Wagga. Please note ALL games have been pushed back an hour!

22.01.2022 TRYCs final home game today!! It was great to see so many families out and about today supporting our Magpies. Turvey Park were, as always, tough competition. A few of our groups today came away with some wins so that was exciting! I personally only witnessed one couple doing a dash on foot over the railway track with camping chairs slung over their shoulders so looks like the message got out to ALMOST everyone! ... U13s went out fighting today in their final game for the season. Benny Merrills was on fire and our girls Lyd and Millie really showed those Turvey boys they meant business! SUPER proud of our U10s and U12s netballers today!! These chicky babes really kicked it up a notch and both snagged convincing wins. Loving having some of our senior netballers supporting our girls. Em and Sarah you two were like two shiny super stars to our little Maggies today! Very special indeed! What else.... Jodie Fellows!! We have some amazing parents in our club and then we have those that go above and beyond. Jode this is you! Thank you Thank you to all our families for your support scoring, umpiring, serving in the canteen, cleaning dishes, marking lines etc and and anyone else I missed that made our home games for 2020 a success. Uranquinty made for a fantastic temporary home ground. That takes us to Round 9 V Swans in town next week. Training on Thursday night for those can make it.

20.01.2022 Meet the Coach Morning Magpies! Meet TRYCs 2020 U9s Auskick Coach, Adam (Bumper) Somerville. ... Bump grew up on a farm near Collingullie so he can be forgiven for playing all his juniors with Gullie. Bored with them, he ventured to Osborne briefly before returning to Gullie for his senior footy where he won a second grade flag in 2001. Bump left school to complete a diesel mechanics apprenticeship at Hutcheon and Pearce and continued working there for a few years. Throughout this time, he would venture to northern NSW to work on a large farm for harvest. Now he is back on the farm and loves driving tractors and trucks and everything in between. Outside of farming Bump loves nothing more than fishing at Narooma and spending time with his wife Kristy and his four kid lids. Hannah is a talented netballer, and Jake and twin brothers Harry and Billy are all very handy little footballers. Adam is an absolute cracker of bloke to have on our awesome TRYC Junior team. We thoroughly enjoy his dry sense of humor and quick wit. His pores on a Sunday frequently ooze HARRRD liquor from the night before but the kids hardly ever seem to notice. A huge thank you to Adam for taking on our little Magpies for the second year in a row and to Kristy, our U9s team manager. If you see Bump around say gday! He will either be on his phone or drinking a lukewarm beer.

19.01.2022 Well this was pretty exciting today! A huge win for our U13s A little support from some seniors to guide the boys through the song

19.01.2022 Meet the Coach Allan Hopkins 2020 Junior President and ... U13s Football Coach. (This one took a little longer to construct as I felt obliged to slag/criticize Al in one way or another. You know, some friendly banter so he knows hes loved. After all, hanging sh*t on each other is the Aussie way. It just proved a little harder to do than I initially thought. Now dont get me wrong, Als sense of humor is great and he could definitely laugh off any banter thrown his way, its just how do you slag on one of the nicest guys youve ever met? ) So Allan, only good things to follow: Allan Hopkins Al is a TRYC local through and through. He played all of his junior footy at The Rock and continued wearing the black and white guernsey as a senior footballer. He brings with him a large family, all of whom are actively involved Magpies one of whom took out a league BnF last year! #Harreeeeeee Als face is a familiar one to many of our U13s players this season. It was this group of kids that were presented to Al when he debuted as an Auskick coach 6 years ago and he has continued working with these magpies throughout the years so hes grown quite attached to the bunch. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Al. He works full time, hes a full time dad to 8 and managed to keep all 24 players, their parents and the league happy throughout this crazy COVID season. A very special mention must go to his wife Vanessa. Thats the sexy beast running our Junior canteen this year. A MASSIVE THANK YOU Venessa Hopkins to you and the girls for keeping our bellies full each home game. While the rest of us enjoy watching our kids play footy and netball, Vanessa spends the entire time in the canteen. This family is first to arrive and last to leave every home game. Absolute SUPERSTARS!!! Well done Al, Vanessa and family for making this peculiar season happen for our TRYC children. Thanks for all your efforts Thats a wrap for our TRYC coaches this year. The netball coaches chose to remain off the radar. Im not sure if its because they dont have a face for social media or they dont trust me to write a biography on them. Please!! Some of them are my besties. What could I possible say? Its really gotta be the ugly thing!

19.01.2022 It was a bit nippy at Apex Park today! Mango really made our Magpies step up and fight and despite not bothering the scorers too much, we all had a lot of fun! U7s Auskickers are REALLY trying their best to stay in their zones but the temptation can sometimes be too much. Any farmers with a spare electric fence, please loan it to Coach Jason Duncan for our next home game. A special shout out to U11s netball team. Winning each week has been loads of fun but today, to watch t...hem rise to the challenge and fight to the end without giving up, certainly made for some proud parents and coaches. The same goes to all our grades who were gracious in defeat. Thanks coaches, time keepers, team managers, scorers and goal umpires for your support today. Well done to our award winners

18.01.2022 When the ol girls step up at training to fill a side for some game practice. Probably both fitter than all the kids out there n definitely still more competitive

17.01.2022 Meet the coach Hi Magpies. Meet Brad (Doodle)Merrills our 2020 U11s Coach and U13s Assistant Coach. Brad is a long time T-Rock local, once the big brother of Travis Merrills turned little brother. ... Hes enjoyed playing for TRYC throughout both his Junior and Senior career and was extremely considerate of T-Rocks future football club when he produced three (current) gun players and a fourth boy, Beau just this year. Its fairly evident the children love his coaching methods. Hes all about the tough love and is certainly passionate about his football. Brads partner Amy is doing a fantastic job as team manager whilst navigating her way through new territory with a newborn. Im pleased to report bubby Beau is a good sleeper. I hope that hasnt changed since my last conversation with Amy. Both Brad and Amy love fishing in their spare time. Im not sure how successful they are but this photo I stole from his fb page bodes well for his fishing reputation. Im personally enjoying getting to know this family better. My word to describe Brad as a person is Passionate! For those who know him better, what word would you use to describe him? #keepitclean #daleandtravisimtalkingtoyou
