22.01.2022 It’s so wonderful to have Simon Coope still part of our Salvo family and tonight we got to help him settle into his new place in Indented Head. Unfortunately h...is chooks couldn’t move to the new house so we have taken them on at The Ranch. Simons Salvo corporate business management history in this region is extensive and so great to have such amazing expertise supporting our community. Absolute legend! We are looking after the chooks. Thank you.

20.01.2022 The Salvation Army is passionate about seeing the whole earth restored to its original healthy Eden state. Yes we primarily work in restoring humans but we are ...also passionate about the environment. Did you know there’s one thing we can all do to help earth without having to spend a cent? 16.01.2022 Harley and Inger MacKenzie are two amazing humans who live in Torquay and Caroline Springs. Together these beautiful people, who we first met through the Open Air Music Program, are massive supporters to the Salvation Army Missional Network. Not only do they believe in the mission but they actively work to financially support and advance the mission here in the region. Their honesty, humour, integrity and friendship make them valuable allies and integral to the Salvos missio...n in the region. Recently married by us Salvos they now are advancing their new lives together, uniting their families by caring for others and making a difference. The network expands through transformed lives.

16.01.2022 There are so many changes and so much loss, but God remains the same. Even though church buildings are closed it doesn’t stop us from being the church.

15.01.2022 During ISO the Krancj family have remained vigilant socially distancing, working from home, doing their best to keep healthy to make sure they are the best support to their family and friends in North Geelong. These awesome salvos were able to be back out on the Outreach Van last night and to hear their stories, see them in action and have them part of our family is such a blessing. Lyn is our Outreach Van Coordinator and each week organises the roster and creates the teams... that are going out to serve the community. God is fanning the movement, transforming lives and answering our prayers to raise up workers! Thank you God!

10.01.2022 This morning I spent time with one of my Missional Practitioner mentors of 12 years Neil Cole. So encouraging and inspiring to have inspirational leaders who ar...e also practitioners speaking into our lives. Neil is the author of many books including the book that first got my attention Cultivating A Life For God. More well known for Organic Church and one of his latest works Rising Tides. He is also the director of Starling Initiatives. This morning we discussed important issues facing our world and how the church can be best equipped for moving forward into the future. We stand on the edge of an opportunity unlike any in history. Every moment we hesitate, the distance between irrelevance and influence grows exponentially. Our time is now. Neil Cole carefully lays out some simple ways the church can catch up, and keep up, with this rapid change. With an unflinching appraisal of the challenges we face, coupled with tangible and achievable solutions. We hope this discussion is helpful. You can also watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9240duIdnrE Let me know what stood out to you the most?

01.01.2022 When Deanne first connected with the Salvos years ago through the Open Air Music Program she had no idea she’d be part of our salvo family and the impact it would have on her family and her family on ours. Living and working in Lovely Banks she is now not only a champion of the salvos but also a financial supporter and uses her professional accounting skills to help us advance the mission. Every year at Tax time she helps whenever she can vulnerable families we work with com...plete their tax returns. Deanne also responded to the Salvos call to provide computers for some struggling students who had to work from home during Covid isolation without a computer. Helping these vulnerable students remain connected and educated. Deanne is also actively working with us to discover and restore her own indigenous cultural roots. With the aim of advancing the knowledge and wisdom of her indigenous heritage. Thank you Deanne and her supportive and equally generous partner Andrew for being such honest, authentic and amazing humans who brighten up the world and for growing faith wherever life happens. Long term relationship building is seeing an organic movement and connection into even more schools and relational streams.
