09.01.2022 My fund raiser made the papers again. 3 Newspapers have done a report on my fundraising. So far, 263 bra's hung and just over $1500.00. 1 week to go so please keep those donations and bra's coming in. A big thank you to everyone who has helped hang the Bra line and donated.

06.01.2022 Update on our Breast Cancer Fund Raiser Event. The Final Tally raised and now banked is a Whooping....$1732.20..........and..........372 Bra's Hung. Well done everyone. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped me with this fund raiser. Also Thank you to the Robertstown Hotel for letting me hold the event in their Beer Garden, Thank you To Trevor Rowlands (Digger) for your wonderful guitar playing/singing and being such a great sport in buying and modeling the Mankini! Thanks to... the Ladies that helped me string up the Bra's. Everyone keeps asking me what will I do with all those Bra's now that the event is over? Well..... soon they will be on their way in a shipping container to ladies that need them in poverty stricken countries. The bra's will once more be holding up and supporting once again. Fay & Colin Schaefer collect items for the Container of Hope and send much needed items off to where they are needed so if anyone has goods to donate please contact Fay or Colin and they will let you know what they need. So once again, Thank you everyone on a job well done. See more

05.01.2022 We've made the paper. Robertstown women are ripping of their bras and urging everyone to join them as they highlight a cause close to their hearts. In a quirky... idea to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia, Robertstown businesswoman, Janice Tschirn has launched Ladies! Surrender Your Bras to raise $5,000 for the cause. Our aim is to hook together as many bras as we can to make a five kilometre bra-line or as far as we can go because we have worked out that five kilometres is 5,000 bras - that’s a lot of bras! laughed Janice. The line will start on the fence at the junction of Brady, Ngapala and Emu Downs Roads and finish at the junction of Neindorf, Brady and Stockroute Roads. There’s no end date, we are just going to keep going until we think we’ve reached our goal. For Janice, the fundraising initiative will not only raise cash, but also highlight the impact cancer has in the community. It’s not only for women, it’s for men too because they get breast cancer as well, Janice explained. I want a mankini! Any budding participants out there willing to send me out a mankini, I can string that up as well. Up for a bit of mischief, Janice said she has already added some extra interest to her growing bra collection and is happy to consider a range of options in her efforts to raise funds. I’ve thrown in a few red herrings along the way, like some lingerie and g-strings, just little bits and pieces so that we can have a bit of fun with along the way. We’re creating awareness because it’s both men and women and it’s not only breast cancer, it is everywhere. Bras and donations are being accepted at Tschirn’s Mechanical, Robertstown Post Office/Telecentre or Lehmann’s General Store with the first items being strung up this Saturday. See more
