25.01.2022 Matt King is a living legend of the club! He's played close to 230 games at Q-Cup level across 2004-2008 and then 2011-2014. A member of the victorious 2007 side, he brings his passion for Seagulls into his coaching and his players display the same hard-nosed never say die attitude that made him such a great player.... The greatest testament to the quality of King's coaching has been the number of his players who have progressed to the Q-Cup and NRL levels. With a strong squad at his disposal members and fans will have good reason to get to Piggabeen early to watch the Seagulls stars of the future. 24.01.2022 Lamar Liolevave has re-signed for 2021! He will be the highest capped clubman for the squad this year having donned the butcher stripes 67 times between 2017 - 2020. Liolevave, has been the clubs' statement player on so many occasions. In 2017, his first year for the club, he won the Col Hayes Trophy as the Seagulls' best and fairest player. In 2019 he made his test debut for Fiji against Samoa. His resilience and consistency have been superb in his three seasons, missing just one game in each.

Tweed Seagulls coach Ben Woolf got in touch with his former Keebra Park State High School pupil and asked the obvious question. Ben, or Mr Woolf as he was referred to back in the day I’ve known him for a long time. At one stage he was my maths teacher, Collins said. Knowing Woolfy, I knew what he was capable of as a coach and felt he was the best person and fit for me to make my run back into the NRL. It was a pretty easy decision for me. 01.01.2022 Vale Kevin Judd The Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Seagulls stalwart and former Board member Kevin Judd. ‘Juddy’, his wife Betty and their four children Kel, Gayle, Neil and Gavin were synonymous with rugby league in the District and are part of the fabric of the history of Seagulls.... Juddy was proud to hold the number 7 membership of the Club and served as a player, coach and selector as well as his position as a Director. Many of his mates will remember journeys on the back of his fruit truck and the life-long friendships forged through the Club Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will be holding a private service. The Club will be announcing a pre-Christmas gathering for members and former players where we will have the opportunity to raise a glass in Juddy’s memory. All at Seagulls convey our condolences to the Judd Family during this sad time.
