19.01.2022 My Speaker project, B&W 703 speakers brought back to New, originally a aged pine looking speaker. stripped and rubbed back the speaker boxes . Replaced aging capacitors in the crossover that where out of value to complete the restoration. Now a new look Jarrah and with the people who have seen them they day there stunning ( oh and they sound like heaven )... One of the comments from a person who saw them before and afterwards (Incredibly beautiful mate can’t believe it really well done)

Condition is Used.... For all you tube amp lovers this is for you.. This Rogue Audio 88 Amplifier has been fully retubed with Gold Lion tubes to give such a heavenly and detsiled sound stage.. Gold Lion replacment tubes being as listed.. 4 KT88 tubes 4x12au7 tubes 2x12at7 tubes This cost me $890 aud plus shipping On top of that from USA i ordered a matched quad of KT120 tubes costing $489 plus shipping and GST Futher to that Rogue was so supportive in assisting with better sound quality and supplied a circuit to view With that the coupling capacitors where changed from 1.5uf to the new updated 2.2uf silver oil capacitirs that costs a small fortune and are huge, though the sound quality improvement was amazing.. The board supports have been lowered to take the KT120 monster tubes and with the on board Auto bias. In either Ultra Linear or Triod mode this beast sounds fantastic. It's a good match for my particular DAC, but I only compared it to a Parasound CDP-1 (as a transport) and a Harmon Kardon CDP. I payed somewhere between 400 and 500 for my dealer's demo unit about two years ago. For the system I have it in, it's just fine. The one thing I don't like about it is that the digital output connection is an RCA jack instead of a BNC; you'll have to look a little harder to find a cable for it. All in all, it's a decent unit, but I suspect at this time, there might not be that great a price differntial between this unit and some of the better high end transports. Hope this is at least a little helpful.
