24.01.2022 The Honourable Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security Visits Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd. On Monday the 13th of July 2020, Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd (TMB) hosted Honourable Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security- Hon Lefoko Maxwell Moagi in Ghanzi. He received an update on the background of Tshukudu and Sandfire Resources which owns the TMB project and its abilities to develop the Motheo Copper Project ...as evidenced by the way it is running its lucrative mines in Australia. The Minister was also updated on regional exploration prospect areas, the A4 copper discovery and community relations activities undertaken in the villages which overlap with the exploration activities. Hon Moagi had several insightful comments and interactive discussions with the TMB team. He further commended Tshukudu for its vast operational and community developments, an unlikely occurrence for most companies in the exploration phase. The Motheo Copper project has the ability to be an economic stimulus to benefit Ghanzi and the whole of Botswana, said Hon. Moagi. The TMB presentation at the Ghanzi Council Chamber was followed by a group induction at the Tshukudu temporary accommodation village camp (Figure 1 & 2). This was followed by a site visit at Motheo Copper Project and the field visit ended at A4 copper discovery which is 8km west of Motheo Copper Project (Figure 3-5).
