22.01.2022 The two proudest achievements of my life are my boys. Anyone that knows me knows our humour toward each other (and the constant sledging you are privy to on FB) is a measure of our massive love and admiration for each other. Next on my list of achievements is Turbo Studio. I got married very young and I had children very young. I became a veritable trophy wife to an incredibly successful (and great) man. I was too terrified to have a go at a career because I went through scho...ol believing I was thick as a brick. Who knew I had the gumption, common sense in business and staying power to create this little gem that changes peoples cycling life. Equal to my pride in Turbo Studio is my pride in the ride we are about to do this week. Ride with a Brave Heart for Bravehearts. It's for the children of Australia and come to think of it, children absolutely everywhere. It's in recognition and support of those who have suffered sexual assault throughout their childhood and sadly, for those that will, they just don't know it yet. Three more sleeps to go and we hit the road from Merimbula to Jindabyne, chuck a few more miles in the bank around the snowy mountain region and back to Merimbula we go. If I had not got one soul to join this ride I would have put a back pack on with no car and gone alone. As it is, we have twenty people on the road. I set a goal of $50K and we are not even close to being finished with our fundraising as we close in on the $40K mark. A small group of cyclists on a no frills charity ride. The basic needs and safety requirements are our priority but we are keeping it fuss free so the focus is on the charity and that is how this ride shall remain. So as FB provides people with a soap box to shout out their beliefs, angers, humour and the like - I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has stepped up to support a ride that supports a charity that represents stomping out what is nothing short of a crime. To the participating cyclists and donation givers - your support, kindness and generosity has moved me beyond words. I am humbled, thank you. Jo Palazzetti. .... If you're reading this and can offer a donation to the cause, believe me, every bit counts. https://sna.etapestry.com//rideforbravehearts/aboutEvent.do Bravehearts

19.01.2022 We are increasing our lineup in 2019. If being a valued member of the Bravehearts Turbo Studio Masters Race Team appeals to you, please read below.

16.01.2022 Hello there. Any chance we can do a team ride this Saturday?. I totally forgot to run this past you and I scheduled it into plans...

11.01.2022 I’m about to get serious about my training so I can haul my backside and my bike over 505km in three days this November. Not only a monster distance, there are also a truck load of hills waiting. It’s been a while since I’ve looked down the barrel of a training programme such as the one now in front of me. It’s for a very good and sound reason. ‘Ride with a Brave Heart for Bravehearts’ is an event that I am organising as a ‘not for profit’ project coming out of Turbo Studio (...meaning it will all be done voluntarily, the business will make no money as the event organiser). The only people I want to see benefit from funds out of this are Aussie children. I chose to align Turbo Studio with Bravehearts because they are champions for Australian children. They act to increase awareness of and to prevent child sexual assault. Like many other charities they are working to cure a disease except this disease is a crime. One in five Australian children will experience sexual assault before the age of eighteen and in our formative years when we should be developing our inherent trust in those around us, experiencing sexual assault is life changing and not something you can always overcome. At best, the painful ramifications are something you can only learn to manage throughout your adult life. Friends, I’m asking you to get behind this cause. You may be raising children or have raised them, they may be waiting in your future or you may be enjoying your grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Whatever your association with any child around you, this fight belongs to us all. I’m asking you to donate to the Turbo Studio fundraising page for this event. The funds will go directly to Bravehearts (Bravehearts are handling all aspects of the fundraising) and subsequently into the education of our children to recognise the potential dangers that are unfortunately more common than you may realise as well as supporting existing victims. Our children are our most vulnerable members of society, please support them. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this post.
