Also another special occasion for Betty Elliott who celebrated her 90th birthday before Covid-19 came along and only just being able to celebrate with her fellow golfers. The cake was yummy Betty.

22.01.2022 A big Congratulations to 12 year old TTG Junior, Brodie Bartel, who managed to get a hole in one on Sunday whilst playing at Royal Adelaide Golf Club. Brodie - playing for The Gully Chippers - was taking part in Round 1 of the MyGolf Junior League and teed off from the 12th hole into a stiff breeze. After just making it over the rough with his driver, his ball rolled up to the green and never looked like missing! 17.01.2022 Another great day out on the course today for The Gully Juniors, with Round 2 of the MyGolf Junior League being hosted at home. In cold and breezy conditions, the Gully Chippers came away with the win, while the crew from North Adelaide were to strong for our Gully Gophers. Well done to all competing teams, it was a great day! It wasn't all fun and games though, as work on our greens coring program began immediately following play. #committed #juniorgolf #mygolfjuniorleague

17.01.2022 HOW CAN LESSONS HELP YOU ? Today I had a member by the name of Craig Noble come to me for a driver lesson saying he was hitting the ball both ways and had no idea where it was going . Craig plays off a 9 handicap so is no slouch when it comes to the game. I recorded his swing and got some numbers on the Flightscope machine . In the video footage and on the flightscope we quickly diagnosed that Craig was coming over the top and his path was too far left causing a snap hook ...left or huge slice depending on clubface position . His first few drives went no more than 190m and all left We then did a few drills for about 15 minutes getting the feeling of the club coming underneath a little more on the down swing and swinging more to right on the follow through The first shot resulted in the path to the right and the ball travelling close to 240m with a slight draw This was no fluke as Craig continued this for the next 15 shots Get help if you need it , there are people here who know what they are doing Well done Craig ! #teatreegullygolfclub #drummondgolfteatreegully
