23.01.2022 In August 2019 we held the very first De Mazenod Family Gathering. We came together from all over Australia to meet as a community, as a family. COVID-19 has th...rown our team several curveballs this year, but we are determined that we are still going to have a gathering! We have established that every second year is going to be an online gathering, regardless of state borders and viruses. This will mean that everyone who wants to access the gathering can do so from their own home, or wherever they happen to be. This year’s gathering is going to be on Sunday 29th November online via zoom times and extra details are on the poster. Registrations are essential and are now open by clicking this link bit.ly/dmfgathering2 We can't wait to see you there! God Bless The De Mazenod Family Team

18.01.2022 Dear Parishioners As you would be aware the South Australian Premier Steven Marshall made an announcement late this morning. The state-wide lockdown will cease effective from midnight Saturday, 21st November 2020. ... This means that churches may re-open following the guidelines outlined below: Churches are capped at 100 people whilst maintaining 1 person per 4 square metres. Funerals are capped at 50 people whilst maintaining 1 person per 4 square metres. Weddings in churches cannot exceed the 150 people permitted in church whilst maintaining 1 person per 4 square metres and registration of all guests are required with SA Health. As usual we will have Sunday masses 7am, 9am (OLHO) and 10.30am. Since numbers are limited, I would encourage people to come for 7am mass. All masses will be in the Church not in the Foyer. Please inform others who are known to you. Stay safe. Take care, Fr.James OMI

15.01.2022 Dear Parishioners Hope you all are safe. We pray together and support each other. I know that you are listening to our SA government instructions. For your information I am posting the restrictions for you to read. We will have our weekday and weekend masses at 9.30am on livestream. Please let others know about this. Cheer up and be happy. May God bless you. From midnight this evening Wednesday, 18th November 2020 we are moving into 6 days of hard... lockdown. The hard lockdown is to restrict movement in the community. Whilst there was no specific mention of places of worship, as the direction is a 6 day lockdown, churches are to close effective from midnight this evening. Weddings and funerals are not permitted. For clarification on funerals, contact should be made with the organising Funeral Director. Masks will be required outside of the home, which is only permitted to access essential services and grocery shopping. All schools will be closed, except for those with children who have parents working in essential services. After this 6 day period a further 8 days of other restrictions will apply. The Government is continuing to develop what this will look like and we will communicate this information as it becomes available. During this challenging time we ask that you and your communities pray for the wellbeing of each other. Fr.James OMI

02.01.2022 Dear Parishioners who attend 5.30pm mass. As we celebrate the feast of Christ the King, there is a little reflection to follow the King of the universe. There is an invitation of doing good vs doing nothing. God is love, and unless we learn to love as Jesus loves, we will never touch God. Here is what Mother Teresa says: Many today are starving for ordinary bread.... But there is another kind of hunger the hunger to be wanted, the hunger to be loved, the hunger to be recognised. Nakedness too is not just the want of clothes, but also about loss of dignity, purity, and self-respect. And homelessness is not just want of a house; there is the homelessness of being rejected, of being unwanted in a throwaway society. The biggest disease in the world today is the feeling of being unwanted and uncared for. The greatest evil in the world is lack of love, the terrible indifference towards one’s neighbour.’ Lord, warm our cold hearts with your grace, so that we your disciples may produce the fruits of love as you have taught us and with this love we shall overcome the world. Fr.James omi
