24.01.2022 Titanium Traffic Plans - Meet the Team Meet Greg Cocker, the Owner, Director and Chief Planner at Titanium Traffic Plans. -What do you like most about being on the team? ... Being able to start and grow a business with my ideas and ideals and provide the best service possible to my clients- whilst maintaining a work/life balance and providing for and spending quality time with my little family. -Favourite type of job? On the road: Anything that required a large and challenging set-up to get the adrenaline pumping! Motorway works, contra-flows on main arterials, large cable hauls, etc. To draw: As above, I visualise myself on the road setting up the jobs I plan for. So anything large and challenging! -Story from the road: Many moons ago- Working night shift on the Great Western Highway at Eastern Creek 2 of 3 lanes taken out for an RMS job. A carload of teenagers sped past at just a touch over 40 Roadwork. Next thing I knew, a glass V bottle came flying out of the car and hit me fair square on the hard hat. It then bounced onto the road and did not break. It was sealed. It was a blue V. I drank it. I was happy. PS: PPE is important! -Favourite location you have worked? On many a LAHA job in Armidale, Glen Innes and Holbrook. -What are you doing when not at work? Spending time with my wife-to-be and 2 children, my friends and family, playing cricket, or wishing I was fishing. -What’s your TV binge go-to? Burn Notice, or anything else with Bruce Campbell, Crime Shows (CSI/Criminal Minds/Bones/NCIS), MacGyver and Police Ten 7. 13.01.2022 Our deepest condolences to the friends, family and co-workers of the Victorian Traffic Controller who lost his life yesterday while setting up his jobsite. With National Road Safety Week just around the corner we will be remembering him, along with the other 1200 people who loose their lives on the roadways each year. So please, save a life, slow down in work zones.

12.01.2022 Titanium Traffic Plans - Meet the Team Ellie Brown is our Office manager, Social Media genius and a 'R U OK? Workplace Champion'. -What do you like most about being on the team? ... This is a supportive and fun workplace. Being in such a small team allows a lot of room to grow and learn as well as nature the business. I am faced with new challenges and it is exciting to be part of something from the bottom up. -Favourite type of job? One the road: Away jobs!! Travelling as part of an Asphalt or Spray Seal crew was some of the best jobs I had done on the road. To draw: I am still learning to draw, so for now I would say something simple and easy! -Story from the road: It was an extremely hot day in Western Sydney, 40+ degrees on an asphalting job, and we were in a suburb that didn’t have the best reputation in Sydney. All day myself and my crew was copping it from the locals, abuse, things being thrown at us, the whole lot. We were all over it and looking forward to heading home. Then, in the mid-afternoon a hero emerged. A teenager, he would have been about 16ish, rode his bike through site with these shopping bags filled with ice cold Powerade’s and was just handing them out to all of us. He started at one end of site and by the time he reached the other end he was met with cheers and shouts of thanks. It turned our day around and showed us that not all hero’s wear capes, some of them have bags of Powerade. -Favourite location you have worked? Callala Bay down in the NSW South Coast for an away job doing Asphalt. It was mid-summer so the days were hot and long, but at the end of each day we would all hit the beach before heading back to our hotel. Nothing kept us going like the thought of those waves after work. -What are you doing when not at work? You will find me either in the kitchen cooking up an absolute storm or exploring around our home in the Blue Mountains with my partner and our two dogs. -What’s your TV binge go-to? Either Star Trek, The Office (US), Parks & Rec, Ru Pauls Drag Race, Police Ten 7 or Binging with Babish (YouTube). To find out more about us, our team and what we do check out our website www.titaniumtrafficplans.com.au
