So a reminder to all members to keep those photos coming in , particularly for those species that are yet to record a single catch. You never know what may happen over the year. Happy fishing everyone and please stay safe during these unusual times. Remember if you are living in NSW It is still legal to fish providing you obey the social distancing laws and you may only have one person with you who is not living at your home of residence. The photo below is a nice flathead 55cm and 2 nice bream caught in the Tweed by Russell and Di. Not winning sizes but a good feed.

24.01.2022 Hi fellow Fishers, I hope you are all still out fishing on your own or at a social distance from others. Don’t forget the ‘Out of Comp Competition’ is still running throughout this difficult time. Please be reminded you will need to send in photos of your catch with a copy of your Twin Towns Membership Card beside your brag mat or other measuring instrument to John Watkins at [email protected]. I received a call from Twin Towns this week to advise that the golf clu...b at Club Banora was to be closed indefinitely as of Friday afternoon. That in turn will prevent us accessing our boats. We were given the option of housing one or all of these boats at members premises. The committee made the decision to house one boat with a committee member therefore giving access to you if required. Please phone our Boat Captain, Steve Lovegrove on 0428557600 for access. Everyone stay safe. Regards Di Ruehland Vice President

24.01.2022 Hi fellow Fishers, A warm welcome to our new members and those members we are yet to meet. Our next competition begins Friday the 3rd of July at 3pm and finishes at 12pm sharp Sunday the 5th of July the at weighin at our Club premises, Club Banora. Please note that you must be at the weighin no later than 12 noon to have your catch recorded.... GOOD NEWS: The committee presented a revised COVID 19 plan to Twin Towns Services Club to allow BBQ’s to recommence and has been approved. Although the next competition was scheduled to be a sausage sizzle we have decided to do a BBQ as a welcome back to competition and get together. BAD NEWS: We can only have a total of 20 people in attendance, so if you intend to stay for the barbecue after the weigh in you will need to reply via email before Friday as the first 20 names received will be accepted. Please read the COVID 19 plan before attending. You will need to bring your own plates, glasses and utensils. You are also required to bring your own salad or side dish as food sharing is not allowed. BYO drinks, some soft drinks will be on sale. Meat, bread and sauces will be supplied and cooked and served according to COVID 19 regulations. If you have any queries about where to fish or any other questions please send a reply email and I will direct it to the committee member who can best help you. The Tailor are running so good luck and we hope you have a good catch.

20.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Hi all, Twin Towns has advised today due to the outbreak of COVID-19 that all internal clubs are to cease any activities and gatherings as of today. This includes Club meetings, BBQ’s or any other Social gatherings. Therefore the Twin Towns Services Social Fishing Club will not hold our normal Fishing Competition for April and will cancel future competitions as advised by Twin Towns. Please note this will not effect our ‘Out Of Comp Competition’. Ke...ep fishing and send in your photos and measurements. Twin Towns has also announced that all entertainment has been cancelled at their venues until June, at this stage. If you have not already joined our Facebook page please search ‘Twin Towns Social Fishing Club’ and request a friendship. This way we can keep you updated with all aspects of our club. In the meantime catch up on those jobs you have been putting off at home and stay safe. If we all do our bit we should be up and running sooner rather than later. Di Ruehland Vice President The committee held a phone hookup after the above announcement and made the following decision. If Club Banora were to be closed anytime in the future, access to the keys for the club boats would become difficult. It was decided to relocate the boat keys with our Boat Captain Steve Lovegrove until unlimited access in the future is ratified by Twin Towns. This will allow members continued access to the three boats. Steves' number is 0428 557 600. Please give him reasonable notice to arrange to pick up keys. Russ Ruehland (The one who sleeps with the VP) Secretary
