21.01.2022 What great day yesterday down on Frankston Pier and foreshore BBQ, we had kids fishing plus catching fishing only toadies and banjos but the where still fish my mate Lewis caught his first fish We also had Santa turn up must thank Frankston Council Officers (nick and Paul) turning up with Santa for us. It was kids fishing but also was open to community was great see people there plus couple community groups like 3199 Beach Patrol (Carole, Peter, John) joining in Melinda from ...123Read2Me turning up with couple box full books to give away to the kids Big thank you to Peta Murphy MP and Cr Sue Baker for turning up and supporting TTTAF as well. The we must thank Jackson and Callum the BoNess twins for once again putting smiles on all faces with a special happy birthday to Teagan no wander their mum Sally so proud of them and of course Lewis for his first fish It just shows by using fishing it can bring people together communication opening doors new friendships which we have need after COVID-19, So keep an eye out as next week will be putting up about 6 fishing programs for January Holidays See more

For Regional Victoria Outdoor sport is only allowed to exercise, or activities such as fishing, golf, boating, tennis, surfing allowed with one other person or household members, provided 1.5 metre distance can be maintained.

10.01.2022 Hi all was great to get out do our first clinic after all this lock down..although numbers down as we have to have our COVID plan in place..they loved being out again ...but forget that even the volunteers missed it...it is important to all clients and volunteers for mental health Watch this space as we will be arranging a kids/family day with in the next few weeks because the emails and message getting kids have missed as well (I did have mask lol)

02.01.2022 This has been extremely hard year as we all know, as we had to battle something we have never had to before with Covid-19, people having their own struggles thr...ough a really tough year So well it is that time of year again Christmas Day where family and friends getting together to celebrate over meals and presents that is what plus part of Christmas is all about. But if you can take time out to think of all the disadvantage, the ones that are suffering, the ones that have no one, ones less fortunate then you are maybe just a little love shown their way may change their lives this Christmas Depression is always this time of year at its worse for people that have no one I personally have been there when you are on your own with no family or friends around you it is lonely and because COVID some are going to feel it more I hope you all have great Christmas Day from The Guru, the team from That’s The Thing About Fishing Frankston Community Connect and Young People With A purpose See more
