25.01.2022 Got some more baby canaries hatching

25.01.2022 Well i was surprised to find the baby cockatiel missing when i looked in the box this afternoon, i was doubly surprised to find that the owners of the box have done another pluck job on the baby the same as the last one, it makes it look like a vulture

25.01.2022 Will check the babies shortly to see how big they are but this was over the last 2 weeks, if anyone is interested in buying the babes to raise just let me know and i should have some cockatiel babies hatching in the next week and if someone wants to raise them just sent me a message, you can see how the food was getting caked around their beak when they were young, i had to keep pulling it off so their beaks didn't get deformed.

24.01.2022 I love watching Jeffy sun bake in the mornings he puts his head right back like he's trying to get under his chin

24.01.2022 So i have all the canary breeding cages and holding cages up for sale and there small aviaries. I'm just going to grab the breeding pairs of cockatiels out first so i know they don't get split up and then the rest are up for sale, breeding pairs will be sold as pairs and not be split, i just have to wait till this last baby grows up or gets sold to hand raise. There is a couple of more big cages for sale as well.

23.01.2022 Well Mrs pale head left the box yesterday dio i had to have a look she's laid another 6 eggs and it looks like at least 5 are fertile so I'm over the moon that she feels comfortable enough to come back so soon to breed again.

23.01.2022 Well this isn't the Christmas present i wanted and i guess it's just what happens in the wild but Mrs pale head had 5 hatch again this batch but i think they just got a little hot over the last couple of days and 4 have died, hopefully they now know that it's a safe place to breed and they'll keep coming back

22.01.2022 Ok latest updated pictures of the baby canaries they're awesome and you can see some are getting their punk hair styles

21.01.2022 Was just in the aviary before having a look in the boxes and found these little cuties one yellow and one white face, mum is a yellow face pearl and dad is pure white face

21.01.2022 I don't know how many of you are into reptiles as well as birds but i need to get rid of my big turtle tank on the stand, it's 3 foot i think and not sure of the height of the cabinet but it comes with the split reptile caves that the glass goes between and it has one light in the lid, Got $100 on it and if you don't want the spotted velvet geckos that are in it I'll open the lid for you and they're gone, it needs a good clean, i just haven't got the time for it anymore so it's got to go.

21.01.2022 So i checked on the babies on Tuesday and they're getting bigger, so far they've been called Anna and rexic it's after my sister who used to be skinny but now has some meat on her bones like these little bubs I'll take some updated pics tomorrow and we can see how big they've gotten, they should be getting their pin feathers any day now

20.01.2022 Got a fish tank up for grabs if anyone wants it $20 and its yours, it has a devider in the centre and it's just under 2 foot wide, you get everything and the guppy not the little table its on

17.01.2022 I checked on the baby cockatiel this afternoon and its getting a bit of colour i think its going to be another white face pearl

17.01.2022 While i was checking one side of the shed i missed this one that hatched today mum is a nice crested canary

16.01.2022 Little babies aren't to far off starting to leave the nest and I'm loving the blue colour

16.01.2022 If anyone is looking for a baby cockatiels to raise, this is the perfect size for anyone to raise, it's a white face pearl and the parents are starting to pluck it's head to get it out so they can start again, send me a message if you're interested.

15.01.2022 So i just went and checked the babies for current pics and I'm glad i did cause the smallest was it of the box, i can see it's the adventurest type , i didn't realise that all the noise was from another box with 4 babies in it so that's another bonus

14.01.2022 I've been hearing noises but haven't seen anything till today over the moon that Mrs pale head was so happy with her last clutch that she's decided to come back for a second round of breeding, there's 5 eggs so far and that's the same as last number of babies that hatched and left safe, she must feel safe but it amazes me they don't care about the garage door going up and down as they're right next to it

13.01.2022 While i was checking on the babies one of the aviary cockatiels, which was never hand raised or tamed, it just became friendly from watching the others, he decided to come and say hello and then everyone wanted to say hi, next was jasper and then max everytime i tried to get a close-up of jeffy he wanted to look in the camera or try eat the phone case, they're all special

12.01.2022 Got 3 more little angels hatched in the last 2 days and the parents are real good so they should raise no problems mum has the crest and dad is pure yellow always exciting

12.01.2022 Just amazed at how well all the birds take care of these babies, there's 6 birds that take care of the one box and whatever's in it

11.01.2022 So i thought I'd have a look in the boxes in the cockatiel aviary and surprise a cute little white face baby from the last baby my mother bred so this hen will always be special to me

11.01.2022 So if anyone is looking for the perfect aviary setup, give me a yell. 3 aviaries, 2 x 1.5m wide x 1.8m high x 3m deep. 1 x 3m x 3m x 1.8 H. Full security enclosure across the front so no escapes, you're pulling it all apart so you know where it all goes, all panels are screwed and not rivets. Security system needs cutting and square connectors to reassemble, very simple if you can't weld.

09.01.2022 I found 2 babies in a box the other day and there's only one now, I can't bring it in to raise cause I won't have the time soon. It's a beautiful white faced pearl, it's parents are the last birds my mother bred before she passed, they seem to be the best breeders I have now

09.01.2022 Unfortunately a good friend of mine passed away 2 weeks ago due to health issues and her husband wasn't able to take care of her canaries and he asked me to keep her passion going for her, i was so honoured that he asked me as they were her reason to get out of bed in the morning, i looked yesterday and 2 babies have hatched from her birds i bet she's smiling down on them, as you can see i was lucky enough to see one of them hatching from the egg its the most amazing thing watching a baby hatch from their egg.

05.01.2022 I know i haven't been posting much lately but I'm getting out of birds as i don't thunk I'll have the room for all of them in my new house, i have a lot of canaries to go and a few budgies, the cockatiels are going as well but i have to wait for a couple of babies to finish weaning before i can let them go as I'd hate to sell the parents end them not survive, if anyone is interested please get in touch as I'd rather them go to my friends than the pet shop that wanted to give me $40 for a cockatiel and they were going to sell it for $150 and that's just RUDE. At this time there is a couple of baby cockatiels but there is nothing that has been HAND RAISED, i haven't hand raised in ages so these are all aviary birds, some cockatiels are very friendly and want to sit on my shoulder and give kisses when i go in to feed them.

02.01.2022 And that's how quick they grow already fully feathered and coming out of the nest and some of the colours are gorgeous and one's a ringneck

02.01.2022 All the canaries are grown and starting to eat seed now and with a but of luck they will all be ready for new homes by Christmas some pretty colours and I've added the black and white pictures for you Helen a lot of the babies came out a real light yellow.

01.01.2022 I have 2 aviaries for sale that I don't have a use for at the moment and don't think I'll be filling them again. Small aviary is 1.5m wide and 3m deep and about 2m high. Big aviary is 3m wide by 3m deep and just over 2m high in the middle.

01.01.2022 Ok my bad i was going to show pics evey 2 or 3 days so you could see the growth of the baby canaries but i didn't get chance the other day as i was out hunting, it's amazing at the speed they grow so exciting.
