25.01.2022 I often get asked how much TuckerTub should we feed our dog? And it’s a good question too. The recommended amount (and I stress it’s a recommendation only) is 30-40grams per kilo of dog body weight. But we also need to allow for the fact that like we humans, every dogs needs are different. For instance, i have two Australian Cattle Dogs. Digger is male, desexed and generally weighs around 25kg. Then I have Alley, female, not desexed and last time she was weighed was only 1...5kg but I’d say weighs maybe up to 20kg now. Alley gets fed twice the amount that Digger gets and whereas Digger gains weight by smelling food (much like myself ) Alley remains on the leaner side and never gets fat. Digger also practically inhales his food (also like myself) but Alley can be a slow sometimes picky eater.
