23.01.2022 What does your morning routine look like? Do you flick through Instagram or Facebook, filling your mind with stress while you think about the day ahead? One of my favourite ways to start the day (besides waking up at the crack of dawn to trains legs with @natalya.x ) is to get up and get outdoors. Spending time in the natural light helps you to wake up and regulate your sleeping pattern. It also allows you to relax your mind, energise the body and prepare yourself for the day. Give it a try

18.01.2022 Salt and pepper squid A couple of kilos over December and January might not seem like much but losing it after is always the challenging part. During this festive period your focus should be on trying to maintain all your hard work. Here are some helpful tips to keep you on track! Avoid going hungry to parties. Eat something before you go and reduce snacking on all those high calorie foods. -... Portion sizes. If you struggle to stop eating when full and will continue to eat until everything is gone, try using a smaller plate or ordering an entree size. - Eat your protein first and save your carbs for last. Protein will keep you full and stop you from eating too many hot chips on the plate. - Have water prior to eating your meal and if you are drinking alcohol have a glass of water in-between. - If you have eaten a lot and are feeling sluggish, get outdoors and go for a walk with family and friends. 13.01.2022 GOALS and GRATITUDE When preparing for a competition there are definitely some days where my mental game is not strong. I get overwhelmed with work, training, weighing my nuts to the gram (maybe even going a little nuts ) and making sure I fit everything into the week. Regardless of how tired I get, I always rely on daily goals and gratitude to get me through. Setting small achievable goals for the day allows me to be productive, decrease stress and pro...vide a sense of accomplishment Using gratitude is important when we are consumed by life’s problems and feel like the whole world is against us. Identifying just a few things you are grateful for each morning can change your whole mindset and attitude towards the day. Here are my goals and gratitude for today- Goals 1. Stick to my new calories regardless of how hungry I might feel. 2. Complete job list at work for end of year. 3. No social media after 7.30pm and study for an hour. Gratitude 1. I have two amazing jobs, teaching kids and helping coach women to be the best that they can be. 2. My health and having the ability to train, eat well and feel good inside and out. 3.
