21.01.2022 What a beast!!!

20.01.2022 Spent two weeks over Christmas at beautiful Douglas River in Tasmania. Only two hours from Hobart up the east coast near the small town of Bicheno. Nice private... campsites, fires allowed (seasonal), surf beach, lagoon, fresh water swimming hole, sand dunes, small caves and rockpools. Camping area is very secure with a locked gate and only $20 night per family. Dirt road can be a bit bumpy in places but still suitable for caravans. There are also two fully self contained cabins but you will need to book well in advance if planning on staying over school holidays. The pancakes are huge and you can choose from sweet or savoury.
