25.01.2022 Do you ever wonder how much space junk and satellites are in our skies?...Apparently a lot, did you know that some of these man made objects can flare, zig zag, and move in pendulum like motions. Some can even reflect coloured light that creates optical illusions! I have found a great article that touches on some of these topics that you may enjoy to read and explore further.

17.01.2022 Call out for witnesses. We have had another report. From around 0320 on the morning of Friday, 13/4/2018, A moving light was seen in the sky between Vestas and Wynyard. The light would disapear for a few minutes and then become visable again. The witness claims to have watched the object until daylight/dawn. Unfortunately we are awaiting details and full description from the witness. ... 17.01.2022 Calling all potential witnesses. A report of a large, "Moon like" red orb has come in to us from a group of 4 witnesses. The object was sighted from 0130 and 0145 on Saturday the 27th of January, seen from Lewisham and looking towards Hobart. Could it be another lantern like the Launceston sighting earlier this month?... We need your help to find out. See more
16.01.2022 As you all may or may not know, Monday, July 2nd, is World UFO Day. 14.01.2022 Reported to us this afternoon, Over Kingston area last night, 05/08/2017 at approximately 8:45pm. 4 small lights flying in a straight line, with a small gap in between the lights. Lights were very close together. In the words of the witness......... "As I was driving home at approx. 2045 in a northerly direction going approx. 50km/H I observed what I first thought was a shooting star come into view of the top of the front windscreen. I then noted it was going far too slow, ap...peared quite low and had the appearance of 4 small lights move in unison. I considered the lights to be all on one object as they moved perfectly together and were so close together. I slowed down to a stop to keep observing. It appeared to just glide over the Southern Outlet area (passing over Firthside) to the North East and then out of sight." As usual, we are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the same, and are willing to come forward with details..... Thanks guys, and keep looking up.
14.01.2022 Here at TUFOIC we want to do better. We want to include, engage and interact with the people who follow our page and we want to hear from you. We want your stories, we want to hear about your experiences and your friends experience. We would love to hear your ideas and your feed back. So here is the first of what will be a weekly post to the TUFOIC Facebook page. We try to the best of our ability to give answers to the questions that the witness is asking. We do what we can t...o identify that strange light or object in the sky, that you saw last night. At times this is not easy and takes longer than we would like. We just like you are human (I Promise). We have jobs, families and the other responsibilities. It just so happens that we, at some stage, have fallen into the world of UFO investigation and have a few contacts, tools and access to historical resources to investigate, record and compare your sightings. It seems that advising a witness that they have observed a natural or man made object, can be upsetting to some. We understand that some people can feel confused, baffled, shocked or even scared. After all, if you don't always know or understand what you have seen, the natural human response is to try to explain the phenomenon through the individuals own process of elimination. This process though can be easily influenced by the many forms of media that we are all exposed to every day, and biased towards the ideas and past experiences that we can most readily relate to. With all of this in mind, We here at TUFOIC would like to ask you, to help us to help you. Attached below We have included links to three of the basic tools we use while investigating your sighting report. We would like you to experience these tools for yourself. get to know them and see what they can do for you. Not all meteors are the same colour, not all satelites are visible all the way across our sky or look the same. Stars twinkle, planets reflect steady light and there are a lot more aircraft in the sky than anyone can imagine. Have fun with it, expand your knowledge and keep those reports flowing in. Most of all, please do not hesitate to contact either Ashleigh or myself, Phil, with any questions. These sites/apps can help you make simple identifications some of what you see. 1. Stellarium. This App will help you indentify most man made and astrological objects. You can even adjust your view to your current location http://www.stellarium.org/en_GB/ 2. Flight radar 24. This website allows the user to track in real time and in replay, all registered, commercial flights, Globally. https://www.flightradar24.com/ 3. Heavens above. 13.01.2022 Reported this morning from Kayena, on the west Tamar. at 0900, the witness saw what seemed to be a highly reflective, polished metallic object, high in the sky and to the south of his position. "It was twice the size of a bus". It seemed to be above the Batman bridge. Cylindrical or rectangular in shape and rotating quickly on the horizontal plane. The witness states he is an avid Aircraft watcher, and that there was one commercial aircraft that flew at an altitude below that of the object he was watching through binoculars. As usual, as the investigation gets underway, we are looking for any other witnesses to the sighting. Please send us a message with any information you might have. 11.01.2022 Another call out for witnesses, this time in the Riverside / Launceston area. Multiple lights (from 2 to 7 individual lights) sighted from Riverside, in the sky over the Tamar river, seen multiple times (8-10 times) over the course of around 2 hours. From 2200hrs until 0000 (10pm until 12 midnight), on the night of the 1st of February. The lights were seen to be making patterns in the sky but, only lasting a few seconds each time they were seen. If you have any information that may help us, you know what to do.
10.01.2022 Recently I received an email from an individual from Sydney who sent a link to a YouTube video of some footage they have captured this year. Since being with the team I have noticed some similar footage and descriptions being sent in by locals. A few theories could possibly explain what is going on, but we would love to know what you think and if you have had any similar encounters. Encounters can be shared publicly or privately via personal message or email. (Links in page description)
