25.01.2022 The TVAFC would like to congratulate Nathan and Tamara Smith on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Emilia last week. All reports are that all are well and now comfortably back at home. There is a rumour Nathan will try and use this to skip a couple of pre-season sessions but we know that the Club 150-game champion never misses a session . Congratulations Nathan and Tamara!!!

23.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS PATRICK ON YOUR 50 JUNIOR GAME MILESTONE! Patrick turned up once to watch his friends play in the under 8’s and he managed to get on the field for a game. He has never looked back since and loves playing the game. Patrick says that playing for Tuggeranong is fun as he is with his friends and gets to tackle people. He is a mad Richmond fan, who has been known to be upset for days after they lose, and his favourite players are Mabior Chol and Jack Riewoldt

21.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS CHELSEA ON YOUR 100 JUNIOR GAME MILESTONE! Tuggeranong Legend, Chelsea Tex Hogan runs out for her 100th game this weekend in the Under 10 Girls. Chelsea has been part of footy in the Valley since she was 3 months old, watching her older brother playing in Under 14’s and then running around with the Rookies from the age of 3 while Dad was coaching. ... As one of the inaugural Tuggeranong Girls players in 2017, this is her fourth season with the U10’s and she can’t wait to properly join the U12s Girls next season. A passionate Adelaide Crows supporter, her career highlight so far has been running out with her favourite player Taylor ‘Tex’ Walker in 2019 at Manuka Oval and then getting to wear the No. 13 in season 2020. A team-first player, Chelsea loves getting out on the weekend and kicking the footy with her team mates. Always smiling and loving every minute of this great game. Super proud of your efforts Chelsea. Enjoy your 100th game!!

18.01.2022 ***BREAKING NEWS*** The TVAFC are excited to introduce your Second Grade Senior Mens Coaching group for the 2021 season. Both Will Tin Man Prowse and brother Charles Chuck Prowse return as Head Coaches for the 2021 season with the Club pursuing further consistency in the Senior Mens program as we continue our improvement. The much loved brothers are joined by Greg Wakka Walker who will also continue in his role as Senior Assistant across the full Senior Mens program f...ocusing on developing and transitioning our youth into Senior football. It’s as good a coaching group getting around as 2021 continues to look stronger and stronger for the Valley. The coaches are super pumped for pre-season and looking to build on a strong first year. Welcome back gentlemen!!!

17.01.2022 Congratulations Abby Jess on your 50th junior game! Abby plays her 50th game for the U10 Girls Thunder team this weekend. Abby, you have come a long way since the first time you tried footy - at half time of a GWS game at Manuka Oval three years ago. It has been great to see your development over that time and the enjoyment you get playing footy with your sisters and your friends in the U10s and U12s. We are very proud of you. Keep smiling and having fun!

17.01.2022 Preparations for season 2021 are well underway. Our first few training sessions have had excellent attendances with 70 - 80 players across our men’s, women’s and junior programs. Pre-Christmas training will continue at Isabella Plains Oval (Cromwell Cct) on Tuesday’s (for players turning 14 in 2021 to Seniors male and female) and Kambah (Chirnside Cct) on Thursday’s (senior players male and female) between 6 and 7:15pm.

11.01.2022 On the last day of junior football for the Canberra AFL 2020 season we were privileged to see two TVAFC teams play off for the premiership with our two Under 12 girls teams fittingly playing in the Grand Final against each other. Whilst only one team could win it was a magnificent game for all four quarters with every single Tuggeranong player playing their heart out!! 10.01.2022 ***BREAKING NEWS*** The TVAFC are excited to introduce your First Grade Senior Womens Coaching group for the 2021 season. 2021 will see Club President Leo Lahey take on the Head Coach role after 2018/19 Head Coach Peter Wren stepped aside to take a very well earned break. The Prez will be joined by Steve Donlan who returns as Senior Assistant Coach for the first grade. In a compelling development the group will also boast AFL Sydney legend Damien Bowles who brings a wealth... of football knowledge and experience, Strength and Conditioning Guru Mark ‘Raz’ Rasmussen steps into the coaching realm bringing together his technical expertise and athlete development skills and finally we are very excited to welcome Heather Flannery to the TVAFC family. Heather, a member of the Australian Navy All Star AFLW Team (2004-2016), as well as former Manunda Hawks player and coach, Berwick Hawks player and coach, Navy Assistant and Head Coach and ADF Assistant Coach brings extensive experience and enthusiasm to a very strong group!! 2021 is looking very inspired already!!! 09.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS BETH ON YOUR 50 JUNIOR GAME MILESTONE! Beth started playing footy in the rookies, she took the leap to AFL from gymnastics, loved the physicality of it straight away and has always loved to be in where the action is thickest. As natural strong runner, she has worked hard on her marking and kicking, and is reaping the rewards now! Beth has played three seasons in the U10’s with both Matt Brine and Allicia Heron as her coaches. Beth is looking forward to the ch...allenge of moving up a grade and has already played four games for the U12’s this year, the fifth being the grand final this Sunday! Beth loves the Western Bulldogs and her favourite player is Aaron Naughton, but, like all Doggies supporters, she has a soft spot for Bont, and a growing one for Mitch Wallace!

01.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS CHLOE ON YOUR 50 JUNIOR GAME MILESTONE! Chloe started playing in the rookies and formed part of the Ava/Holly/Chloe trio that always ensured everyone kicked a goal. Chloe has made the move up into the under 10’s and never skipped a beat. Always in the thick of the action Chloe is a hard runner and fierce competitor. Often positioning others around her to help the team. Chloe initially made the shift to footy after watching the Giants on TV and has never looked... back. She loves the Giants, especially Toby Greene. Chloe is looking forward to kicking on next year in 10s.
