24.01.2022 Well done Emma. As COVID stopped us having a gathering to present her with the Merrel Davis award at our AGM we presented it now. Emma has a terrific guide spirit and always thinks of and helps others. As a leader i can not be prouder.
22.01.2022 Wanniassa Gumnuts celebrated Thanksgiving tonight. One of our Gumnuts is from the USA and she shared with us why Thanksgiving is celebrated in America. She told us a story about the first Thanksgiving, we made turkey hats, and then we sat down to taste some delicious Thanksgiving food including turkey and pumpkin pie! We also shared what we were all thankful for this Thanksgiving.
22.01.2022 This afternoon Wanniassa Gumnuts visited the Tuggeranong Police Station. We got to chat to police officers about what they do, tour the station and watched as they tested their lights & sirens on a police car. Thank you so much to ACT Policing for allowing us to visit you and learn all about the important work of police in our local community! #girlguidesgoplaces

12.01.2022 3rd Tuggeranong White Swans have been taking part in an online camp to earn our Saluting Their Service badges. We have made ANZAC biscuits, learnt first aid, coloured maps to show the allies in WWII, learnt our names in semaphore, played battleship, and created wreaths and lanterns to use in our service tomorrow morning. We also learnt a little bit about how Girl Guides contributed to the efforts in Britain in WWII. Early to bed now (in our makeshift campsites at home) so that we are up and ready for the Driveway Dawn Service! #GirlGuidesGoOnline
11.01.2022 3rd Tuggeranong South White Swans finished our online camp by participating in the Driveway Dawn Service with our families. Lest we forget. #lightupthedawn #standatdawn #GirlGuidesGoOnline
