25.01.2022 With The end of a season and the start of a new season and committee, there is always people or someone that we have to say goodbye to - that will be missed dearly by the club.. We would like to thank Brett Larman for all of his man hours, time effort, hard work, commitment, passion, help he put into the club, the kids, the committee over the years.. His passion behind the scenes will be dearly missed, line marking the fields, cleaning all the bins, maintaining the clubho...use, redoing and updating the change rooms, helping with kitchen and upstairs renovation, organizing uniforms and orders, attending meetings as well as holding down a full time job, also having family and commitments on the outside and lots more. We wish you all the best with your next venture and hope you enjoy the extra family time, those camping trips and lazy weekends and from the whole Tugun Community - we thank you for all your hard work...

21.01.2022 Grandfinal day wrap up, congrats to our three teams that played - 10s white, 13s and 14s - all grades unlucky to come away with a win, but all teams did us proud played some great footy.. Thank you to everyone that made the day happen - Group 18, South Tweed Juniors, Brett and the committee, coaches, trainers, managers, players, parents, friends and family - you guys are amazing Thanks to all the supporters that came along to support the teams - in true Seahawk... spirit. Special congrats to Samuel from 13s , Group 18 Player of the Season and Player of the Final - well done mate.. See you next Saturday for presentation day.

21.01.2022 Meet and Greet - our first for 2021 Introducing one of our coaching coordinators for the 2021 season - we are proud and very lucky to have his knowledge, his experience, his community and family values to our club this season... The coaching coordinators will be there to support and help the coaches with teams, weather it be structure, development, team bonding, skills, tackling, coaching, just giving them a hand on training days - etc - they are also volunteers that ar...e here to help with the growth of the club and the junior football community.. Our first coaching coordinator for 2021 season is Selwyn Apanui... Selwyn began his rugby league at Tugun in 1982 at 4 years of age and played all his junior and senior footy at the club. As a 16 year old, with a knee injury putting his own footy on hold, Selwyn began coaching an under 9 team at Tugun. This was the start of his love of coaching. Selwyn coached another under 11 Tugun team when the juniors started at Boyd street and took them through to an under 14 premiership in 2008 and an under 16 premiership in 2010. From here Selwyn coached Tugun reserves and A grade from 2005 - 2015 followed by a 2 year stint as assistant coach of Titans under 20s 2015-2017. Selwyn has coached various representative teams including group 18, Queensland u16 and open men’s Murri teams and Australian indigenous teams. Selwyn now enjoys helping around the club and being assistant coach to his triplet sons currently in under 10s.

To Jess thanks for always being there on game days lending a hand wherever you can - you guys will be greatly missed.. Good luck on your adventure , enjoy your family time, making memories and seeing our beautiful country - we cant wait to hear all about it when you get back...Thanks and be safe from all of your Tugun Family..

16.01.2022 SPORTS TRAINERS (First Aiders), leagusafe, refeerees, coaches NEEDED FOR 2021!! Seahawks Family, our juniors really need your support on the field this year! We really need some volunteers to step into the SPORTS TRAINER ROLE for home games. We cannot have games without sports trainers. We also need help with leagesafe (water runners) for all teams, coaches and refeerees.. The Sports trainer course is face to face and part online - It’s a nationally recognized 2 day course... - We just ask that you commit to the role for home games... The only course I can find at the moment is in Milton Qld, its a 2 day course on 30th and 3st January . head to playrugbyleague.com to book in.. We have so many willing volunteers at our club that we are so grateful for & this is a valuable role that we’d really be grateful of you stepping in to! if any sports trainers need to do a reaccreditation course you will find that there as well.. 15.01.2022 Finally the day is here, Presentation Day has arrived, the committee is busy down at the club setting it all up getting ready for a day of celebration. Don't forget we have jumping castles, face painting, balloon person, sausage sizzle, food truck, donuts, we have awards all day, Jo Jo McLean from 2-5 a DJ from 5-8 lots of fun entertainment music , good company .. Make a day of it, bring the gazebos, blankets, chairs etc set up for the day, the club will be serving bev...erages all day.. Looking forward to a great day, thanks to the junior committee, the tugun senior club and everyone who helped make the day happen..

13.01.2022 This Saturdays fun - Tugun Juniors Presentation ... Everyone is invited, to the Junior Seahawks Presentation Day celebrations.. Date - Saturday 3rd October Venue - Tugun Seniors Clubhouse Time - All Day event All children will be receiving their medalor trophy and their photos 6-9 - all players will all get a trophy 10-14 - have 5 special awards and all other players will get a medal.. Entertainment for the day will be as follows - 9.00am-5.00pm Jumping Castle Inflatable Obstacle Course 9.30-11.30 - Face-painter 11.30-1.30 - Balloon Fun.. 2.00 - onwards - music fun with a DJ and time to mingle enjoy the day and celebrate another great season.. We will also have our friends the food truck and donut people, there is a coffee cart at the front of the senior club, and of course the club has its famous Chinese food.. Timetable for the Day 6 and 7 - 9.30 -10.30 8 and 9 - 10.30-11.30 10 and 11 - 11.30-12.30 12, 13 and 14 - 12.30-2.00 Special awards - 2.00 onwards - Coach of the year - Manager of the year - Trainer of the year - Jake Briscoe Memorial shield award - Jim Murdoch - Club Person of the year award - Senior volunteer of the year - Junior volunteer of the year - 5 year and 10 year game awards. - any other awards or presentations.. Then its time to enjoy the music, the company, the drinks and celebrate the 2020 season - lets go out with a BANG.. We are inviting all families to make a day of it, bring your gazebos, umbrellas, picnic blankets, chairs, food and nibbles etc set up on the main field and enjoy the sunshine - the inflatables will be there all day, so please make the most of it.....PLEASE DO NOT BRING OWN ALCOHOL THIS IS NOT PERMITTED - THERE WILL BE ALCOHOL AVAILABLE ALL DAY AT THE CLUBHOUSE..

07.01.2022 Congrats on Winning Volunteer of the Year from Group 18 Volunteer Of The Year - CARESSA FLANAGAN CARESSA Is our choice for volunteer of the year. She is our Secretary for 2020, she also took on the roles of Facebook, registrar, and also organised our fundraising for the year. She did all this whilst also working in a full-time job and crossing the border every day. Although we only had one home game at Tugun, The hours this woman put in around the clock was phenomenal.... No one that we know would fill the shoes of Caressa. Although she takes us on a fast paced ride/rollercoaster, she knows everything there is to know about football and the families and children that are involved in our club. Whilst not having children playing football, she has also managed to help out and volunteer at other clubs this year. 07.01.2022 hey guys just some updated info.. Our under 6’s have been invited to play on Saturday at ‘the nest’, Tugun! They need all their playing gear and to meet Rob at the senior fields this Saturday, 26th, at 1:30pm. ... Reserve grade play at 1:30 and A grade at 3pm. Should be a great arvo of footy. They will play half time and also run out with the A Grade - all 6s are welcome..Make sure you guys get some photos for me, I will be at grandfinal.. Saturday news - grandfinal day - good luck to our three teams- 10s, 9.00am, 13s 1.25pm and 14s 2.35pm, all systems in place like it has been all season, 500 spectators allowed at each game, so you can come down and support our junior Seahawks..just do the right thing, at all times.. Seniors are also playing at home at Tugun on Saturday so after the grandfinal if you would like to celebrate the end of a season, join us for celebrations at the club ongoing all day/afternoon/evening.. Tonight is last chance to get any last minute tugun supporters gear from 4-6.30pm at the juniors canteen. last chance for teams to drop kit bags off please - this is really important and any missing items.
