14.01.2022 On behalf of Tugun SLSC, we extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Life Member Ross Bird, who passed away peacefully last week aged 91. Ross joined the Club in 1947, and gained his bronze medallion the following year. He is a former Club President, who contributed to and followed the Club successes. Ross's funeral is being held in the West Chapel at Mt.Thompson Crematorium, 329 Nursery Rd, Holland Park on Thursday, 1st October at 1:30pm Surf Life Saving Queensland SLSQ Point Danger Branch

06.01.2022 VENUE AND PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT - 2021 ASRL OPEN The ASRL committee are pleased to announce Mollymook as the venue for the 2021 ASRL open. The dates are 18th 2...1st of February. The event has opened up to a 3.5 day program releasing restraints on competition and allowing for potential Covid crowd restrictions. The masters will be held on the Thursday afternoon and competitors are encouraged to celebrate their event, or rest and prepare for entry into the reserve grade the following day. The final race on Sunday will be completed at 2:00pm, medals ceremony to follow. It is widely known that the Covid environment is constantly changing but your carnival committee is planning the event as normal in anticipation for a successful event. Updates will be provided each month.

06.01.2022 On behalf of Tugun Surf Life Saving Club, we extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Life Member George Brown, who passed away last week aged 90. George was a proud member of the Tugun March Past Team for any years, winning medals at Branch, State and Nationals. Most notably, George made significant contributions to the success of Tugun SLSC over many years, through the generation and establishment of sponsorships and over hauling Club administration. Our amazing Juniors have taken home the Col & Bonnie Alchin Trophy (handicap pointscore) and Murray Seaton was awarded Rookie Coach of the Year.
