25.01.2022 Hi all, As of tonight, we have decided to close the bar and cease operation immediately due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to thank you all for your constant support of our club and we will keep you updated regularly as to changes of status in our operations. 24.01.2022 Great start to our season on the weekend with 2/3 senior teams getting a win! 1st XI - A great all round bowling display from Jimmy Ghotra, Kobe Walters, H Ghulam Muhammad, Gihan Dilruk & Frank Boteju to contain West Coburg to 99 runs. 3 early wickets lost but a steady partnership from Gihan and David Junior Scott guided the team home to win by 7 wickets. Amazing start to @Frank Botheju’s start as TCC captain - 1st game, 1st win! Congrats MOM - Gihan Dilruk... 2nd XI - A tough game against a team who played off in last years Grand Final. A shaky start saw us 6/41 but a near match-saving partnership between @matthew holland & Justin Shieldzy Shield saw us scrape to 8/134. Some wayward bowling eased the pressure on West Coburg as they held on to win by 1 wicket. 3 wickets to Migara Darshana and 2 to Dave Manktelow kept us alive until the end MOM - Matthew Holland One Day - A nervy start being 2/10 but (C) @michael fiteni & @david connell 100 run partnership held us in a good position to win. Roxburgh Park batted well but some late wickets to Brendan Harrison and 4 wickets for @rakesh bargujar got us over the line winning by 27 runs MOM - David Connell

23.01.2022 **UPDATE** Our clubrooms are officially OPEN!!!! It has been a long time since we have been able to have a drink and some food in our rooms but we are finally back open. Please keep in mind the covid protocols put in place. You must register manually to enter or via the QR code at the entrance. Please do not move the seats as we have a 40 occupant limit and they are spaced out to covid satisfactory. We can also have 70 people outside seated (in due course). 16.01.2022 Hi all, In light of the governments recent protocols regarding easing of restrictions, it is becoming more and more likely that the upcoming 2020/2021 season will be a One-Day Competition season. A proposed date of November 21 has been set as a possible starting date for the season however this may change due to government restrictions changing on a daily basis. 12.01.2022 Weekends results: U10 - A mixed night for out 2 Under 10s teams with our Blue team getting a win but our Red team going down. Was a tough night in windy conditions U12 - A great batting display first up as we posted 3/123. A great all round effort from our side restricting Burnside Springs to 62... 1st XI - A slow, cautious start ended up being our downfall with the bat with us being 8/131 after 40 overs at home. @Dean P-Budge top scoring with 36. Some starts from others that couldn’t go on with it. We never looked likely in the field, disappointingly only taking 2 wickets before PEGS passed out total in the 23rd over MOM - @Dean P-Budge 2nd XI - A few early losses of wickets put us on the back foot with the bat but some resurgence from @Peter Mullins (32) & Lee Barley (49) helped us scrape to 136. Some early wayward bowling didn’t help our cause in the field with PEGS chasing the total down with only 2 wickets lost. @Sohail Babar taking the 2 wickets MOM - @Lee Barley One Day - A shaky start with the bat saw us lose 3 early wickets, but some stability from @Rakesh Bargujar (34), Gavin Scicluna (27) & @Jason Groeneweegen (23) helped us reach 9/142. Strathmore Heights were never in the game with Tim Matson destroying the top order taking 5/2 from 4 overs. 2 wickets each to @Jason Groeneweegen & @Rakesh Bargujar helped the cause to bowl them out for 41 to retain to spot on the ladder MOM - @Tim Matson

12.01.2022 What a great weekend for the club! 3 from 3 in the seniors to follow up a great night from the juniors on Friday. 1s - Won the toss and batted in our first home game of the season. A nervy start and some poor decisions led to a tough day out in the middle. Solid contributions from Suraj Indramal Weerasinghe (25) & @dean P-Budge (19) along with Gihan Dilruk (15) got the score to 110. Poor fielding led to Glenroy being 1-54 at drinks but an amazing turnaround from the team in t...he final 20 overs saw us win by 7 runs! H Ghulam Muhammad the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets with some great help from Jimmy Ghotra, Frank Boteju & Shane Siebel containing the batters. MOM - Ghulam Muhammad 2s - Won the toss and sent Glenroy in on an interesting wicket. A great all round performance in the field and with the ball saw us contain them to just 8/98 after 40 overs. The old timer @Peter Labbs Labbad staring with the ball taking 5/7 off 8 overs. Also great contributions from Sohail Babar, Dave Manktelow & @Syed Hasan Raza. A near faultless run chase saw @Dave Manktelow bring up his 5,000th run in the VTCA with @Peter Labbs Labbad top scoring with 23, @Benjamin Jenkin 22* & @Matthew Holland 20* MOM - Ben Jenkin One Day - Won the toss and batted first. A great display of all round contributors with the bat saw a great 79 run opening stand. @jason calleja top scoring with 57 and other notable scores included @michael fiteni 37, Gavin Scicluna 36, @kuldeep singh 33, Tim Matson 32* & @rajesh kumar @28 taking the score to 251. A great bowling display saw the match won inside 21 overs with Flemington Colts being bowled out for 49. @rakesh bargujar taking 3 wickets & @tim matson, James Groeneweegen and Aaron Harrison taking 2 wickets each! MOM - Jason Calleja An amazing set of results has all 3 of our senior sides inside the top 4! The platform has been set for our club to continue on the success of last season! 11.01.2022 As we all going through tough times and unusual circumstances, we all stand together and pray lives will get back to normal sooner rather than later! Even during these tough times we have not forgotten to work tirelessly for the Cricket Season ahead. The committee have been working hard behind the scenes to make this a better season than last year for the club. As the first step forward, we have identified the individuals who are going to drive the clubs vision forward.... Our senior mens team will be led by Frank Boteju for season 20/21. Frank is no stranger to the club, he is a hard working, driven, passionate guy with a willingness to succeed which made him the ideal candidate to lead us forward. We wish him and his team all the very best! Our second XI mens team will be led by premiership winning captain Peter Labbs Labbad. His exceptional leadership skills and experience make him the pillar of strength the club is looking for to guide the juniors and to take the club forward in many years to come. We will announce the leader for our one day mens side within the coming weeks. In some other exciting news, the club would like the mention that we have signed Buddhika Mendis on as senior coach for the upcoming 20/21 season. Buddy has shown through his knowledge of the game and leadership skills that he has the drive and will to take this club forward and to strive for the ultimate goal - 1st XI premiership. Over the past few years, Buddy has grown to the club and bought many talents through our doors and are excited to see what he can bring in the near future. Pre-season will kick off 20 August and detailed schedule to be sent out soon. We are red+blue through and through T.C.C

11.01.2022 Weekends results: Under 10s - A tough night for our 2 under 10s sides with both sides getting beaten but the kids are loving playing cricket Under 12s - Had a good win against Doutta Stars and now sit top of the ladder... 1s - A tough day in the field with Deer Park posting 3/204. Some tidy bowling from Kobe Walters & Jimmy Ghotra in very windy conditions. Run chase got off to a shaky start with us being 4/35 but some stability from (C) Frank Boteju and H Ghulam Muhammad got the scoreboard ticking over but fell short. 6/158 with @Frank Boteju top scoring with 54* MOM - @Frank Boteju 2s - A tough day fielding in windy conditions saw Deer Park start very well. Some very tight bowling from Migara Darshana restricted them to 4/152. @Syed Hasan Raza bowled well with @Matthew Holland taking 2 wickets. Another near flawless run-chase saw @Peter Labbs Labbad & Dave Manktelow post an opening partnership of 97 to set the run chase up. @Dave Manktelow top scoring with 69 and some great support from @Benjamin Jenkin & @Peter Mullins finishing the job with 36* and 18* respectively and passing the total with 4 overs to spare. MOM - @David Manktelow One Day - Bowled first and took some early wickets. Some very stingy bowling from Glenn Watts & Jarryd Missen and 3 wickets each to @Jason Calleja & Gavin Scicluna restricting Greenvale to 139. A composed innings from @David Connell at the top of the innings saw him bat out the innings with 76*. Contributions from @Jason Calleja & @Gavin Scicluna helped chase the runs down with no risk. To have our 2nd XI and One Day side both winning premierships this year is an amazing achievement to have considering we have 3 senior men's teams! 2 out of 3 aint bad! Congratulations to Lee Barley on captaining the One Day side to a well-deserved flag and Congratulations to Peter Labbs Labbad on captaining the 2nd XI to a long-overdue flag. An amazing effort from our club to have a winning culture and without our committee and supporters t...here every step of the way, it wouldn't of been a successful year without all of you. We are building such a strong club and everyone is excited to see the future as to just how high we can go and strive to succeed. A massive congratulations to Buddhika Mendis on his year as coach. He has done everything to help and make our club strive for success and this has been proven in delivering 2 premierships this year! A truly amazing effort for such a positive minded person. 06.01.2022 Disappointing result as the ones lose their first game of the season. Chasing 179 for victory we fell 20 runs short. Zorro was brilliant making 71 whilst Buddhika Mendis battled well for 38. 2 day cricket next week when we take on Deer Park. Let’s hope the weather starts to improve!

05.01.2022 It is with great pride that we can announce that our stand alone Under 12’s team are Premiers for season 2019/20. We finished second on the ladder with only 2 small loses for the year (both to Gladstone Park), and we had some fantastic team and individual performances. We had 9 players for the whole year and our attendance to training and availability on Friday nites was great. Our behaviour during the games was a credit to TCC we sat together as a team and cheered each oth...er on. Our 1st final was an easy result with us posting 0-80 and keeping West Coburg to 7-33 our semi final was a wash out, so the Grand Final was down to the best two teams for the year. Gladstone Park batted first and had made the most runs all year in the division, but we bowled and fielded great in trying conditions and had them out for 66 (Max Pixton 4/3). We batted for 10 overs before the rain came down and were 1-40. We agreed to use the reserve day of next Friday with us needing 27 runs off 12 hours but it was called off on Tuesday and league awarding joint winners. Well done to our team, we deserve it and as your coach I’m very proud of you. The difference was our attitude and desire to stay together and our bowling was the best in the league (60% less extras then other sides). As I said we had some great individual efforts and had 3 blowers in the top 5 of the comp (Max Pixton, Indi Lloyd and Marcus Visal), and 2 batters in top 5 (Max Pixton and Indi Lloyd). You win flags as a team and everyone of the 9 players had important roles that they happily did. Not sure when/if we will have a presentation day so would like to thank the following: Barb Potter scorer (great job) Penny Pixton junior co-ordinator Gordon, Steve, Paul, Josh, Michael, Fiona, you all helped without being asked and I thank you for that. Thank You to the committee for their support this year and we are all hoping that our junior numbers grow next year and we can have Blasters, U/10’s, U/12’s, U/14’s and maybe U/16’s our club deserves to have the numbers that other local clubs enjoy. 04.01.2022 Weekends results: U10 - Our 2 Under 10s teams played off against eachother in a great game all round with plenty of support from the sidelines U12 - Bowled first and managed to restrict East Coburg to 5/41 at the end of their innings. Indi the pick of the bowlers with 3/4. Managed to get across the line posting 2/64 at the end of the match... 1st XI - Bowled first against Altona Roosters, got an early breakthrough through Jimmy Ghotra then struggled in the field to get another. Some late wickets to Frank Boteju & Buddhika Mendis saw them finish at 9/172. A 57 run 1st wicket got us off to a great start before losing a few cheap wickets to be 3/75. Things started to get tight with us losing 5/37 but a glorious shot from #10 TBA batsman Justin Shieldzy Shield saw us pass the total with a wicket spare! @Dean P-Budge the pick of the batters with a superb 91 MOM - @Dean P-Budge 2nd XI - Saw us bowl first with some class bowling from some senior old-timers @Brett Walters & Dave Manktelow helped restrict them to 126. @Dave Manktelow & Migara Darshana taking 3 wickets each. Another top display from our batting top order saw us chase down the total inside 24 overs. @David Manktelow top scoring with 62* MOM - @David Manktelow One Day - Won the toss and chose to bat. Some solid contributions topped off by @Jason Calleja scoring the clubs first 100 of the season. Matt Watts (46) & Gavin Scicluna (43) helped get us to 6/230.
