25.01.2022 Comforter and Friend - Pr Lee Venden
21.01.2022 Big Camp 2019 - Night 1
21.01.2022 A Few Things I want Pastors and Parishioners to consider as we approach this weekend of worship: 1. Most likely this is the first time your pastor/spiritual lea...der has led a church through a pandemic so please pray for them without ceasing 2. Gatherings of 100 people or more have been banned in the most places in the secular world. The only reason the church was not included in this is because of the separation of church and state. #FACTS 3.. Only 37% of people in the US attend a church with over 100 people in it so we have to be honest about the fact that every pastor and church is NOT dealing with the same variables when it comes to deciding whether to have service this weekend or not. 4. Crisis can bring out the best and the worst in folks but as Christians it should bring out our best and bring glory to God. This is not the time for believers to use divisive language towards each other just because we differ in our perspectives on how to proceed. We can disagree with each other without demonizing and destroying each other. 5. The width, length, and depth of our Faith can only truly be measured by God. Just because a Pastor decides not to have service in the sanctuary doesn’t mean they lack faith and just because a Pastor decides to have service in the sanctuary doesn’t mean they have more faith than others. Only God knows. 6. The message is always more important than the method. It doesn’t matter if the word goes forth online or in the sanctuary when the ultimate goal is to make sure the word goes forth accurately, efficiently, and effectively. Our job is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ by any means necessary. 7. Technology is a tool that our forefathers and foremothers of the faith that we read about and admire in scripture did not have. I’m almost certain that if they had such a tool at their disposal forsake not the assembling of yourselves would look slightly different 8. Finances is no reason to keep your church doors open (I really could go in on this but I won’t) 9. Precaution is NOT the same as fear 10. This is a great time to be a Christian not only in name but in nature. The world is watching the church more now than ever before. Stand up, speak up, and be counted among them that have great history with God and know that God did not bring us this far to leave us. The Lord be with you!
