21.01.2022 The Queensland Electricity Users Network (QEUN) is a energy consumer advocate. The QEUN is carrying out an online survey - Power bills and the end of JobKeeper. One of the aims of the survey is to better understand which types of businesses and farmers in North QLD may need assistance once JobKeeper ends on 28 March.... QUEN are seeking responses from all types of businesses and need responses from businesses and farmers who have and who have not been impacted by COVID19. This is because one of the survey questions asks businesses and farmers if they know what electricity tariff they are on. The tariff question is necessary as Ergon tariff analysis shows thousands of businesses on particular obsolete tariffs will experience significant rises in their power bills once they move off the Ergon obsolete tariff. The problem is we don't know what type of businesses will be adversely impacted when obsolete tariffs expire on 30 June 2021.
