25.01.2022 To all our families, it has taken a great deal of thought, discussions & research to come to this decision today. We as the committee of the Tully swim club have decided that with all that is happening around the pandemic caronaviras & for precaution, there will not be any more club nights this season until further notice. We understand that there will be upset families but we value ALL our members safety first. Please stay safe, kind & humane to one another. We will try to keep everyone posted on any news. P.S. At this stage all squad, stroke development & lessons are as normal but PLEASE BATH & WASH BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL!!!

23.01.2022 "ATTENTION Tully Mean Green Families!" Do you have plans for your "Australia Day 2021"? We are looking for some assistance from our Club Families in a fundraising event offered by the CCRC on 'Australia Day" and would love for you to join in too. The funds raised will go directly to our club for the benefit of our members. It's not all hard work either so bring along your swimmers and sunscreen. The event will be held at the Tully pool on Tuesday the 26th of January 2021 from 10am-2pm and it will be a BBQ lunch to the pools patrons (capped at 250ppl). 12.01.2022 Southern Peninsula Districts Swimming Carnival 2020 done and dusted! Congrats to the excellent age champions and overall school St Clares School, Tully and a well done to all participants who swam their hearts out . We are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a successful night - and we thought wed overcatered and instead ran out of food, so we know it must have been tasty ! Shout outs to Damian McAvoy and 12C Hospitality class at Tully State High Scho...ol for their prep work, Bruno, Damo and Shaun for BBQ; Chantelle, Danielle, Kate, Tash, Nat, Tess, Charlotte & Dalun for their efforts in the kitchen and ticket sales; Kellie, Haley and Vickkie from the pool for setting up; Cheryl, Roslyn, Vickkie, Maree, Danielle, Evette and Katrina our bakers; Lani and Tess (again) for managing the gate; senior swimmers Brett and Jake as well as TSHS student Melody for running all night; Leona and her team of officials and all those timekeepers and school staff who set up and managed; and finally the indefatigable Tracey our President who set up and coordinated us Club members AND was Referee and equally tireless Cherie from St Clares who coordinated everything. If they have met these standards they can no longer swim the events except on a 25 night. There is a list on the club notice board of events each child can no longer swim. Thank you

07.01.2022 Had a few compliments on the Butter Chicken from two club nights back and I said Id share the recipe. Jan Bilton published this awesome recipe book in 1996 and weve cooked heaps of recipes from it. I sized this up to 5kg of chicken thigh and made a few tweaks, most notably the removal of the chilli to make it a bit more kid friendly. Its a brilliant quick mid-week dinner. (Jodie & Damo)
