22.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE! After talking to just over half the team captains last night we have made the following decisions; JUNIORS will be CANCELLED until further notice; we will reassess after school holidays.... At this stage SENIORS WILL STILL BE ON unless the advice changes, in which case we will let you all know. A few things: Referees will be required to provide their own whistle & shirt (preferably white but we arent too worried) Players are asked to wash/sanitise hand as close to start of games as possible No sharing of water bottles No hand shakes please! Referees/nominated person to be the only person handling the score cards If any team is needing to forfeit due to lack of players &/or concern, thats completely fine but please let us know ASAP so we can make the required arrangements. Thanks for your co-operation! TT Committee

20.01.2022 TEAM NOMINATIONS TO BE EMAILED BY NEXT FRIDAY, 3RD JULY! Hi Tully Touch Players , Thanks for being so patient as we have been working with our governing bodies and the CCRC in relation to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions to return to play the great game of touch!... Season 1 is officially cancelled due to Covid-19 and FULL refunds will be given to team captains to distribute to their team players. If, for some reason, you paid funds directly to Tully Touch please email us to organise your refund ([email protected]). We will get these out ASAP, but please give us a couple of weeks to get that sorted. Our plan is to start our MIXED season on Wednesday July 15th 2020. The Divisions being: A-Grade Mixed Family Mixed High School Mixed (12yrs 16yrs) Junior Mixed (9yrs 11yrs) A new hub, My Sideline, will be used for official team registrations this season and we will send links through as soon as those details come to hand. For now, get your teams together and have your team manager/captain email us your team lists with phone contact details for each player by 3rd July 2020 to assist us in preparing our attendance registers. Junior players (9-11yrs) need to email individual details and our junior co-ordinators will evenly distribute the children into new teams. There is most certainly the opportunity for new players to join in! If you are new to the game and dont have a team, please contact us to assist you! Certain organisational aspects will have to change in order to comply with our Covid-Safe plan and we will outline these in more detail once teams are registered. The current slogan in relation to returning to community sport is, Get in, Play and Get Out!, so we ask players to be organised to keep their time at the venue to a minimum attending only the field they are playing on. Currently, the COVID-19 restrictions have allowed for trainings to recommence, however we have made the choice not to endorse trainings and will not be responsible for any teams or players that commence or are involved in any trainings. Touch Football Australia has a webpage dedicated to COVID-19 Return to Play if you want further information regarding expected restrictions. https://touchfootball.com.au/coronavirus-return-to-play/ Feel free to flick us an email if you have any questions! We all look forward to getting back into touch! Tully Touch Committee
18.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder to please be respectful to our referees .. we are a small town and do not have the qualified referees like other towns do ..they are doing the best they can if we abuse them and question every decision they make we won’t have any referees left by the end of the season we will then have no touch!!! We will not be tolerating any abuse and swearing at refsif this happens players can be force subbed or sent to the sin bin! Points will be lost if things get sny worse ? Please treat people the way you want to be treated!!
18.01.2022 We cant wait to be back out playing & have this beauty as our club house!
18.01.2022 Tully Touch Football is monitoring and following advice from health authorities, TFA and QTF in relation to Covid-19 and the safety and well-being of our players. Current assessments indicate that our weekly Junior and Senior competitions do not exceed the 500+ people in any one location restriction released by the Federal Government (Sunday 15/03). Sensible precautionary measures must be taken and so the following practices MUST be adhered to: * Do not attend Tully Touch ...Football if you have flu-like symptoms, a temperature or feeling unwell. * Hands must be washed thoroughly by all players before taking to the field and at the completion of the game. * Shaking of hands will not be required at the end of the game. A verbal thankyou to the opposing team and referee will suffice. * Although the game is touch football where possible, limit extra contact and respect the personal space of others. * Whistles must not be shared. Referees MUST supply their own whistle. * Water-bottles and playing uniforms must not be shared. * Scorecards are only to be handled by referees. * Game balls will be washed/wiped down between games. We will continue to closely monitor advice and make adjustments accordingly.
16.01.2022 As per the latest advice from TFA, Tully Touch will now be suspended until at least May. We hope you all stay well during this time!
