19.01.2022 Once an orphan....always an orphan. When we think of orphans and vulnerable children, our first thought is of wide eyed, smiling toddlers we all want to take home and love as our own. At Tumaini For Africa Foundation the orphanage I was introduced to 9 years ago, that's exactly how I felt. So many of these little humans are now teenagers and young adults facing the challenges every adolescent, worldwide, faces...but they are still orphans. Facing those challenges is forever ...huge for their guardians who love these children as their own, they are family....and a huge family. Of the 33 children at Tumaini for Africa centre...16 are adolescents......they require so much guidance, patience, understanding, and just the right amount of discipline to allow them to learn by their mistakes too.....they will make mistakes, but they will always be loved. #nevergiveup #teachthemyoung #teachthemwell #foreverinmyheart See more
