23.01.2022 Tumba Bikes and Blooms in Tumbarumba NSW is a retail plant nursery and florist that also offers ebike hire and bike supplies. We are looking for a casual/part-...time staff member to assist with all operations of the business for Thursdays and Fridays each week with a possibility for more days for the successful applicant as the need arises. Qualifications: qualifications are NOT essential, however knowledge in the horticultural field is preferred, floristry skills and/or mechanical knowledge of bicycles will be an advantage. Having a driver’s license would be a definite advantage as we also offer a delivery service. Experience: Ideal candidates will have at least 1 - 2 years’ experience working in retail and/or working in any horticultural related field, however those with less experience should not hesitate to apply. Applicants should be enthusiastic, fit, and energetic with a keen interest in plants and gardens. Excellent customer service skills are necessary, being able to serve the public with a high level of professionalism. A positive attitude is required to undertake daily duties such as booking out bikes, stocking shelves, plant maintenance, unloading of trucks, pricing and labelling, taking customer orders, setting up plant displays and general housekeeping duties such as watering and cleaning. Salary based on successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.

14.01.2022 I used a beer bait for slugs and snails last night and was impressed with the results. Much more effective than snail bait. Sue OB recommends yeast and a tiny bit of sugar add water and stir well. I will try that tonight.
