23.01.2022 Change of program for this Sunday the 25th, we are shooting 800 yds instead of 300. ThanksChange of program for this Sunday the 25th, we are shooting 800 yds instead of 300. Thanks

23.01.2022 Tuners. Lots on the market. Lots of them look fancy, lots of them work. Is there advantages and disadvantages to each? Well thats nearly always true in the ma...rket on any product. We came out with our FCP tuner about 1 year ago. In that time we have had two national champions use them to win, with the highest X count and highest point count. One of them is Brian Bowling. Brian has more experience with these tuners than anyone. He got his about a month before winning the national f class championship 1000 yard grand agg. He knows a cold setting (morning) and a warm and hot setting for later in the day. The other is Tod Hendricks. Tod actually came into town for the Southwest Nationals in Phoenix, where we are located with his gun shooting pretty open for accuracy. He came in a couple days early and asked us to install a tuner on his barrel. So we installed it, he tuned it in less than 20 rounds to his satisfaction the morning before the 600 yard Southwest Nationals championship and won the entire event the next day. Some of the users use the bloop tube in addition shown, and some just use the tuner. Brian Bowling won with a bloop tube and tuner. Its an 18 TPI and it takes a minimum of 90 degree turn to see any difference on the target. What does that do? Well it makes it not super sensitive to how far you turn it. Other tuners you turn just 15 degrees or less and a big change happens. Other tuners have to have the barrel turned down in diameter way more than ours. For our f open tuner we have the largest thread for the tuner needed on the market. The 18 pitch is the same as most aftermarket actions out there so dirt and grime does not plug up the threads and you dont even have to change your lathe threading to a different setting after threading your tenon! We set them up so a tool is not needed and can just grip it and turn. We believe ours is the simplest and since being on the market, the most winning and is the cheapest tuner available. The last picture is after one customer bought one and tried it for a week. Next thing you know is all their barrels have them. Offer them in barrels from 500 muzzle up to 1.250 f open barrels. The only tuner with no screws and a nyloc type locking device that will not degrade with heat and cleaning chemicals. From behind the muzzle is open unlike other tuners so you dont have to worry about chemicals leaking and storing in the gap between barrel and muzzle.

19.01.2022 On the weekend of the 8th and 9th of February, Tumby Bay Rifle Club held its annual Open Prize Meeting. A great turnout of 55 shooter were in attendance representing 15 different clubs with several campers enjoying the camping area and shower. Shooters were welcomed at 300 yards and a brief introduction was given about the ShotMarker electronic target system. 300 yards was followed by 500 and 600 with some great scores for the day. It was an 8 oclock start on Sunday morning... at 700 yards in dull hazy conditions which hung around until late morning. 800 and 900 yards finished the day off in good time with the shotmarker electronic target system performing well all weekend. At the end of the day everyone gathered under the newly extended shade area for presentations. Thankyou to all those who helped leading up to and over the weekend. 13.01.2022 Hi Shooters, I know a gunsmith looking to import these extremely high quality match grade barrels. Obviously the more he buys the cheaper they get, freight being the killer for only a few. We have five interested at the moment looking for at least five more to keep costs as low as possible. Contact me for details if you are genuinely interested. ... Richard Linton 0427296012. Blake barrels are precision drilled and single point cut to provide a completely stress free barrel. The precise exact twist rates and 6 groove rifling provide exceptional accuracy. Our barrels are gundrilled with counter rotating gundrilling system. This sets us separate from the other barrel makers out there that drill with a stationary drill with the barrel rotating. With the drill spinning the opposite direction of the barrel steel, the drill is able to stay more coaxial to the core of the material. Our barrels currently are all 6 groove. They feature a 25% land to groove ratio. Barrel life is no shorter than a 4 groove. We feel that the 6 grooves at the 25% land to groove ratio help to not distort the bullet as much as a wider 4 groove barrel. Please visit www.blakebarrel.com for more information.

07.01.2022 It was our turn at Tumby to host the Geoff Cummings Memorial Trophy this year wihich we share with Port Lincoln Rifle Club. As most would know Geoff was a keen member of both Tumby and Port Lincoln clubs.it was a beautiful day and conditions were set to see some really good scores. The format for the day was a precion shoot at 300 yards, 2 non convertible sighters and 15 unmonitored counting shots, so with no screen to look at, we had plenty of time to watch the weather. Its great to see some new faces on the range with hunter class proving popular with the visitors (4 shooters). Congratulations to Richard for winning the day with a score of 90.11. Well shot. Thank you to all that participated and made it a great day. Next Sunday 500 yards

01.01.2022 On Sunday 15th December we had our Christmas shoot at Tumby where a bbq lunch was enjoyed before heading out to 500 yards for a shot. The weather was couldnt have been much better throughout the afternoon and and there was some great scores to show for it. Well done to Jarrod for his double possible and Daryl, Mick and Brenton for a possible each. Congratulations to Richard for winning the day with a well shot pair of 59s. A bullshot was held with a voucher for to SARA up... for grabs which was shot by Jarrod and won by Richard. We finished the day with some pressies and couple of refreshments. A handicap was used with the mixed category scoring system. Hdcp MCSI R. Linton 59.3 59.4 (4) 184.3 K. Bennett 58.2 54.1 (10) 178.6 J. Todd 60.3 60.5 (2) 177.8 B. Carr 48.5 50.2 (4) 175.1 D. 01.01.2022 Challenging. Character building. Good practice were just some of the things heard said(that could be repeated) on Sunday as 9 apparently really keen shooters gathered at 700 yards in very windy conditions. Jarrod shot first and when he came off the the mound with a 48.0, that should have been a hint to the rest of us to put our gear away call it a day. Ron managed a very respectable 55.2 and we got some confidence that maybe things weren't that bad. Buffing seemed to cause t...he most grief even in f-class and it got the better of the captain who chose not to waste any more bullets in his first round. Some up and down scores followed for the rest of the afternoon. T/R M. Cocks 41.2 43.2 (2) 86.4 B. Carr 332f@#%(retired) 45.4 F/Class R. Fuss 55.2 50.1 (14) 119.3 K. Bennett 47.1 52.1 (10) 109.2 J.
