23.01.2022 ROUND 8 Tuesday R E S U L T S Kyrgios d Nadal 46 - 33 Tsitsipas d Federer 49 - 24 Medvedev d Djokovic 45 - 27. Team Tsitsipas were the winners on the night with all players achieving a win, unfortunately the team consisting of Paul Tarbit, Michael Wilde, Robert Coveny and Juan Van Zyl were all reserves. Stuart Tozer, Nico Canteros and reserve Julie Camilleri also played well winning all their sets, good achievement came from Shane Brasen only dropping a set with La...rry Larder, Martin Canteros and Scott Burns notching 22 games each. Thank you on the night to our faithful reserves Christelle and Juan Van Zyl, Hamish Elliott-Mason, Julie, Paul, Michael and Robert. Thursdays R E S U L T S Kvitová d Barty 51 - 36 Williams d Halep 58 - 30. Bruce McGruer was star player winning 25 games, Paul Tarbit, Steven Crawford, Martin Canteros and reserve Grace Hooper all achieved winning sets, Julie Camilleri, Geoff Naylor and Larry Larder contributed well to their teams. We thank Sena Mori, Nathan Ferguson and Grace for reserving. Tuesday ladies are continuing to have good competition with 12 girls on court last week. 21.01.2022 RESULTS for Round 7 TUESDAY Falcons defeat Lyons 40 to 30 Cougars excelled over Mustangs 47 - 20. ... Star player winning 25 games on the night was Shane Brasen, others to win all their sets were Daniel Martin and Stuart Tozer. Scott Burns and reserve Christelle Van Zyl scored well with 23 games each. Thank you to Paul Tarbit, Juan and Christelle for reserving THURSDAY Eagles defeat Panthers 42 to 32 Bulldogs battered the Warriors 35 - 15. The format was changed with 2 teams due to missing players. Bruce McGruer and Matthew Ferguson were high achievers for the night winning all their sets including a singles set each. Steve Crawford also won all his sets, other players to do well were Chris Bradley who only dropped 1 game with Martin Canteros and Nathan Ferguson both notching 22. 20.01.2022 Round 4 Night Comp RESULTS below:- TUESDAY Tennis Cougars defeat Mustangs 48 - 15 Falcons defeated Lions 46 - 37. ... Star team and players were the Cougars consisting of Daniel Martin, Stuart Tozer, Scott Burns and Mendie Bruins who all won their sets, while team Falcon members Peter Quinn and Shane Brasen also had set wins on the night with each notching 25 games. Other players to score well were Chloe Ferguson, Letitia Burns, Jimmy Pucci and Conor McCarthy all recording 21 games. Special thanks to newcomer Jolina Goedsir for reserving. THURSDAY Tennis Eagles defeated Tigers 40 - 29 Warriors defeated Bulldogs 30 - 11. Due to two players missing on the night Warriors and Bulldogs played a different format. Set winners were Ariel Turburan, Darren Dean, Christelle VanZyl and Steve Crawford. Sena Mori and Martin Canteros achieved good results dropping only 4 and 3 games on the night. We thank Julie Camilleri for reserving. Tuesday ladies were slightly low in numbers last week with only 7 girls on court. Sandra Cowan was the highest scorer for the morning with 22 games, Christelle VanZyl notched 21and Anna Quinn secured 20. Thank you to all our Tennis participants

Good scoring was achieved by Conor McCarthy and Chloe Ferguson securing 22 and 21 games, Martin Canteros and reserve players Darren Dean and Paul Tarbit all notched 20 games. Special thanks to Julie, Darren and Paul for reserving. Thursday evening games unfortunately got washed out. We thank our faithful reserves Stuart Tozer, Juan Van Zyl, Will Crawford, Paul Tarbit and Natasha Cullinger who were all ready to play before the rain. This week will be the final play for night comps. The club would like to thank all players for their effort and co-operation with covid 19 rules during these comps Tuesday ladies had 7 girls on court last week.. Morning winner was Emma Taylor scoring 24 games with Anna Quinn coming in on 23.

Star player on the night was Steve Walker winning all his sets including a singles set, team member Craig Cullinger also won his singles set and only dropped 1 game. Sena Mori and Steve Crawford both had good games on the night. Tuesday Ladies enjoyed their morning last week with 9 girls in attendance. A welcome was extended to newcomer Mary O'Hehir. Winner was Christelle Van Zyl notching 23 games, Jocelyn Massey and Sandra Cowan also played well. The girls will be in recess soon with only 3 weeks left of morning play. 18.01.2022 Due to the current situation and restrictions imposed, the Tumut Lawn Tennis Club made a decision last Monday evening to stop all comps and social club activites until further notice. At this stage our next comp dates have been put on hold, members are still able to access the courts providing the number of players are limited to 2 per court - all clubhouse activities are not permitted. Final results for the Comps are... as follows:- Tuesday evening Team Kyrgios were the winners with 315 games Congratulations to Larry Larder Martin and Nico Canteros and Rohit Patil. Coming in second Medvedes's scoring 253 3rd place with 251 games was Federer Team Nadal notched 249 games, followed by Tsitsipas with 240 and the Djokovic's were on the tail end with 226 games. Thursday night winners Kvitová with 371 games, congratulations goes to team members Matthew Ferguson, Paul Tarbit, Martin and Nico Canteros and Geoff Naylor. Team Williams finished second place with 356 games, Barty came in on 261 games and team Halep ended with 220 games.. 15.01.2022 We are super proud of our young tennis achiever Preston Preston played in Yass on March 8th for the JDS and came home with Winning the under 14s trophy Under 14/16’s were combined together where Preston played some great matches and some long rallies. Preston had a fantastic day with plenty of competition from his age group and over. Preston’s Mum reports that It was a great day of tennis. Congratulations Preston

Strongest team on the night again was team Kyrgios with all team members winning their sets, players were Martin and Nico Canteros notching 25 games and Larry Larder and Rohit Patil winning their 24 games. ... Other players to also achieve winning all their sets were Nathan Ferguson, Dallas Cribb and Peter Quinn. Good play was displayed by Heather McDonald and Chloe Ferguson. Thank you to Robert Coveny, Christelle and Juan Van Zyl for reserving on the night. Thursday RESULTS Williams d Barty 56 - 33 Kvitová d Halep 59 - 30. Star player was Nico Canteros with 26 games, other players to achieve all their sets were Geoff Naylor, Martin Canteros, Steven Crawford, and reserves Grace Hooper and Sena Mori. Team members of two outstanding teams all won their sets on the night, players were Nico and Martin Canteros, Rohit Patil, Larry Larder, Bruce Krause, Luke Rodda, Jessica Coe and reserve Paul Tarbit. A special mention to Phil Shirt and Mendie Brujns who were stars notching 25 games each for their team Federer. We thank our reserves Hamish Elliott-Mason, Nathan and Matthew Ferguson, Robert Coveny and Paul. Thursday evening play was cancelled due to rain Tuesday Ladies had great attendance last week on their first day back with 14 girls on court. They welcomed newcomer Kirsten Johnson who shared the winners banner with Jocelyn Massey both scoring 19 games, others to excel with 18 games for the morning were Christelle VanZyl and Sandra Cowan. Final team results were Mustangs ended with 200 games Cougars scored 284 Lions came in second with 332 and team Falcons consisting of Peter Quinn, Shane Brasen, Chloe Ferguson and Jimmy Pucci were the comp winners, congratulations to all team members Thursday evening results were Tigers defeated Panthers 40 - 25 and Bulldogs defeated Warriors 45 - 31. Star player on the night was Martin Canteros notching 226 g...ames with Craig Cullinger also winning all his sets. Good play from Matthew Ferguson, and reserve Natasha Cullinger both scoring 22 games while Steve Walker and Paul Tarbit both scored 21 games. Final team tallies for Thursday were Warriors 241, Bulldogs 268, Panthers 297, Tigers 330. Team Eagles consisting of Steve Crawford, Martin Canteros, Nick Canteros and Sena Mori being the winners with 398 games. We would like to sincerely thank all our dedicated reserves who have assisted the club during our 10 week of competition. Some great scores were recorded with Christelle Van Zyl notching 22 games followed by Jocelyn Massey with 21. Sandra Cowan, Clare Malone and Anna Quinn also played well.
