23.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all. We’re off until the 6th of January unlike ScoMo this is what our holidays are going to look like for now no fires close but everything ready to go

The Tumut telephone exchange has been severely damaged by fire this afternoon resulting In a loss of all phone, fixed and telstra ...mobile services and internet for the entire town , our radio network is still operational but our paging is also affected. At this time we have no capacity to receive or make calls from within Tumut. Our duty officer has limited mobile coverage at his residence however please be patient as we need this phone for emergencies. 000 is also affected within Tumut from a fixed phone line. Telstra are working on rectifying temporary services but it could be some time. Businesses are also without eftpos facilities resulting in cash only purchases.
