20.01.2022 ANOTHER BOOST FOR FIRST HOME BUYERS IN NSW! Commencing on the 1st of August 2020 and running for 12 months, the threshold for having to pay stamp duty on new homes for first home buyers will jump from the current $650,000 to $800,000. The changes to the threshold will only apply to newly built homes (houses and apartments) and vacant land, not to existing homes. This joins other incentives already in play in the state such as: ... First Home Buyers Grants The NSW government will continue to offer a $10,000 first homeowner grant, available to people buying a new first home worth no more than $600,000 or buying land and building a new first home worth no more than $750,000 in total. HomeBuilder Scheme In June 2020, the Federal Government announced a new HomeBuilder scheme. The HomeBuilder Grant of $25,000 is available to eligible owner-occupiers who build a new home, substantially renovate an existing home or buy an off the plan home/new home. Please ...share this information with anyone you know who is not on Facebook PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE ADELONG, CLOVERDALE AND TUMUT FURTHER INFORMATION - Friday 28 August 2020 Adelong, Cloverdale and Tumut residents are advised to boil their tap water used for drinking or to use bottled water until further notice. Problems with water treatment mean that the drinking water is potentially unsafe. REASON FOR NOTICE: Council has been required to implement a Precautionary Boil Water Notice due to a short period of elevated turbidity in the water supply. This turbidity/dirty water is due to water quality changes in the Tumut River affecting the treatment process. The water supply disinfection treatment processes have not been affected and chlorination levels have been maintained throughout the network. The water quality that residents see will not be visibly dirty however we recommend that you follow the boil water advisory notice. Should you see any changes in water quality, please contact council on 1300 ASK SVC (1300 275 782). This precautionary boil water notice will stay in effect until Council staff and NSW Health are confident there is no public health concern. #SVC
