21.01.2022 The Man Walk Tuncurry Forster Good numbers again attended our Monday morning walk. We had a total of 22 enthusiastic guys plus 2 staffies enjoy the walk to the Tuncurry Forster break wall and return. We are forever thankful to our major supporters Terry Evans Racing, Annas Trophies and Embroidery and of course Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club who have been with The Man Walk since day one. A reminder everyone is welcome on our walks, we meet at the John Wright BBQ area Tuncurry at 7.00am every Monday morning. We would love to see you there. Remember guys WALK TALK - SUPPORT

19.01.2022 The Man Walk Tuncurry Forster What a beautiful day in paradise. 27 guys headed west past the Oyster farms on Point Road and returned to a beautiful BBQ cooked to perfection by Chica and Tim. We were fortunate to have as our guests Mary Yule editor of one of our local free papers and Karen from the Forster Neighbourhood Centre. Both Ladies spoke about the services they have to offer regarding wellbeing in our Great Lakes Community. Thank you to Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club, No Bull Butchery, Annas Trophies & Embroidery, and our great supporter Terry from Terry Evans Racing. A reminder we meet every Monday morning at 7.00am at the BBQ area in John Wright Park Tuncurry. We have found its not weak to speak and lets all remember to Walk Talk and Support each other.



18.01.2022 HOLLER for MARSHALL Marshall was in fine form this afternoon when he received a surprise visit from South Sydney Juniors Chairman Keith McCraw. Keith (pictured) came bearing South Sydney gifts to add to Marsh’s collection. Marshall became quite animated (pictured) when the subject of the NRL was raised and the direction it was heading. Keith and Geoff Appleby thank you for your support and Marshall says a big g’day to Craig Coleman and Neil Baker.

13.01.2022 The Man Walk Tuncurry Forster A beautiful morning in paradise we seen 18 guys plus 2 staffies, Barney and Bear head off to the entrance of our Great Lake System. It was great to see a new member of the crew Andrew turn up for his first walk with us. We spoke about the cricket, rugby league and of course the upcoming Tuncurry Seafood Raceday which will be held this Saturday 16. It is a TAB meeting, and I am sure one of our major supporters Terry Evans Racing will have 1 or 2 up for the meeting. A reminder anyone who would like to join our walking group is most welcome. We meet at John Wright Parks BBQ area at 7.00am and usually return around 8.00am. Want to meet some great guys and have fun?? The Tuncurry Forster The Man Walk is for you. 13.01.2022 THE MAN WALK TUNCURRY FORSTER What a magnificent day Our Christmas Man Walk exceeded all expectations and attracted almost 60 people. The wonderful support of the families including wives, partners, siblings, and grandkids certainly had to be seen to be believed. Prior to the short walk we thanked everyone for their support including our wonderful band of volunteers who erected the gazebos and cooked a very tasty BBQ on our return. The MAN WALK Tuncurry Forster is now r...ecognised throughout our Great Lakes Region as leading the way in men’s mental health. Leading north coast horse trainer Terry Evans has come on board to kit out our walkers with caps and shirts in his famous green and gold colours. We were graced with former NRL royalty on our walk with St George and Australian legend John King, Dennis Tutty Australian, Balmain, Penrith and Easts Champion, John Baker, Wests and Parramatta hardman, Ray Dodger Steele, Penrith old timer. Brian Atherton former English enforcer and President of our Men of League Chapter walked with us as well. It was great to see our little Champion mate Holler for Marshall Loadsman in attendance. We are forever grateful for the ongoing support from the Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club. Remember guys let us all - WALK TALK and SUPPORT. 10.01.2022 HOLLER for MARSHALL Just to let everyone know Marshall was absolutely fantastic today. A big thank you to Craig Coleman for the phone call while we were there, certainly brightened the little champion up. Even though the footy season is over we spoke about former Kempsey and Smithtown boys James Roberts .and Aiden Tolman moving on to other Clubs. Thanks to our mate Geoff Appleby for the visit as well.

08.01.2022 The Man Walk Tuncurry Forster After a horrific weekend with temperatures in the 40 degrees we woke to a beautiful cool morning of 20 degrees with a nice southerly breeze. We welcomed new walker Phil with his staffy and 15 other guys who were certainly in the mood for a little fun and friendship. We look forward to our Christmas Walk on Sunday 6 December where everyone is welcome to join in on this day. We will meet at the northern end of the Rockpool BBQ area at 11.00am. ...Wives, families including grandkids of walkers are most welcome, the morning will give us an opportunity to thank them for their continued support as well. Our little champion Marshall Loadsman will join us on the day and a free sausage sizzle will be available after the walk. Manbassadors Terry and Steve will be attending the next meeting of the Great Lakes Suicide Network Seminar on Wednesday at Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club. We will have input into formulating a strategic plan to Grow as one Community to prevent Suicide through raising awareness, supporting existing community initiatives with education. 04.01.2022 The Mixed Pairs defending Champions Julie Middleton & Grant McKirdy had two very close calls before winning their second title in a row. Julie & Grant scored a 1 shot semi-final win over Liz Gray & Ross Logan (all square on the last end) before tackling the other semi-finalist Sayde Dunn & Steve Holohan who defeated Warren Hayward & Robyn Mcdonald in the 2nd semi-final. In the final Julie & Grant jumped to an early lead scoring 5 shots on the 3rd end this stirred Sayde & Stev...e into action by claiming 5 shots on the 4th end from there the game remained close with Sayde & Steve leading by 2 shots on the last end only to be thwarted when Julie & Grant scored 2 shots to send the match into extra end territory. As per the morning semi-final Julie & Grant scored the winning shot to finally win the Championships 19/18. A great game which kept all spectators on their toes throughout; well done to both teams.

03.01.2022 Tuncurry Beach show the way ... Not to be outdone by our Magnificent Ladies Club the Guys added two Zone 11 Titles to account on the weekend. Les Willmot Erin Smith Jason Aurisch & Steve Harris claimed the Open Fours Championship with a win over Forsters Graham Coleman Brian Wilson Marty Gosper & Shannon White whilst the Senior Championship was won by Steve Swan Wayne Wright Noel James & Rex Johnston over Club Wests Bob O’Mahoney Mal Drury Tony Hinton & Errol ...Ruprecht. The Reserve Fours sides of Louis Muccillo Peter Ellis Geoff Payne & Neville Brymer as well as Dave Debono Gary McMahon Frank Edwards & Steve Holohan were both defeated I the Semi Finals. All in all a great weekend for Tuncurry Beach.

03.01.2022 The Man Walk - Tuncurry Forster Stormy conditions did not deter 10 guys for their weekly ritual of walking with a mate. Many of the troops were away this morning which we totally understand as the holiday season is fast approaching. A big shout out to Bruce who is seen in the pic (right) being congratulated by Manbassador Steve Rogers. Bruce is celebrating his 79th birthday. A reminder our Christmas walk will take place on Sunday 6 December starting at 11.00am from the north ...Rockpool BBQ area Tuncurry. This is an open invitation; families are most welcome. Wednesday 25 November our hard-working Clubs Welfare Officer Tony Calladine JP will be in attendance to sign documentation, Tony will be here from 10.00am till 2.00pm. Several of Tony's duties include: certifying documents, witnessing affidavits, assisting with Wills, assisting with Power of Attorneys, plus Enduring Power of Attorneys, (regarding these documents I assisted the members by arranging an appointment wi...th the Taree Registrar and attended at Forster Local Court House with the members concerned for the execution of their documents.) End of Life documents documents for a member to obtain Australian citizenship (for which I was requested by the member to be a correspondence nominee); as well as referring member/s to a local solicitor in order that wills could be updated.
