24.01.2022 Unfortunately Tuncurry Markets are cancelled for this Saturday 27th March. The Council have closed the park to large gatherings and vehicles until further notice and until it is deemed safe.... Hoping all our clients and visitors are keeping safe and dry. Hopefully see you in April on the 24th.

23.01.2022 Please be advised that after thoughtful consideration the Tuncurry Markets scheduled for 28th March have been cancelled. This decision has been made in the interest of public health and growing concern with the spread of the Corona virus. Careful consideration was also given to the Public Health (Covid 19 Public Events) Order 2020 as released yesterday by the NSW State Government. A decision on April’s market will be made closer to the date.

With the ongoing and somewhat deteriorating Covid situation we are unable to operate under required health regulations to ensure protection of our community . 19.01.2022 We are still not in a position to safely recommence our markets in line with government health requirements and open space restrictions . Hopefully with the steady decrease in infection numbers throughout the state, it won’t be too long before we can open up again. Keep on keeping on and stay safe.

17.01.2022 Please note, with the current government restrictions we are still unable to run the market. We cannot ensure the safety and protection of stallholders and visitors in our open air setting. As soon as guidelines allow, the markets will recommence. Notification of this will appear on Facebook and via local printed media. Along with you, we hope this will be sooner rather than later.

16.01.2022 Regretfully, we advise our Tuncurry market is still unable to operate due to our inability to meet COVID restrictions relating to open spaces. We are constantly monitoring changes in government policies and like everyone, hoping to restart our markets ASAP. Thank you for your understanding and patience and keep safe.

15.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the current unstable situation with COVID-19 spread we have again suspended the Tuncurry markets. Hopefully if improvements occur over the coming weeks we can recommence in August.

15.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING TUNCURRY MARKET. AS SOON AS THE SITUATION CHANGES, ADVICE WILL BE RELEASED. WATCH THIS SPACE AND STAY WELL. In line with the current directive from State and Federal Governments, MidCoast Council have cancelled all previously approved bookings taking place in Council managed parks, reserves, beaches and sports grounds with the exception of Farmers Markets as they are currently viewed as an essential service. The bookings affected were those ta...king place from yesterday (Wednesday 25 March) right through to June 30 with a view to extend that time if required. The booking portal currently has every venue set as closed/unavailable so any new booking requests cannot book within that timeframe and requests made for after June 30 will not be approved at this stage. In a nutshell this directive means that no market (with the exception of Farmers Markets) can operate in a Council managed park etc. until after 30 June, noting that this date may be changed as we move through the pandemic

04.01.2022 Finally, we are resuming our Tuncurry markets this Saturday 28th November. These markets are the first ones since Covid restrictions came in and we ask for everyone’s patience as we attempt to run them within Covid safety regulations. The markets will be slightly smaller than usual, with fewer stalls and confined to the northern end of John Wright Park. There will be one entrance and one exit point at the south western end of the park. Covid marshals will be on site to assi...st. Please be mindful of physical distancing rules, use available hand sanitisers etc and please don’t attend if you are unwell. Hours are from 8am to 1 pm. Please enjoy your visit and keep safe so we can look forward to markets in December and January and beyond. See more
