22.01.2022 Jet Boats! Another little project we've been involved with lately. A little 388" LS built by blown motorsports. We were involved with this project last year to bed the new engine in and put a base tune in the MS3 pro ECU. It tuned up great on the dyno but was never nice on idle or part throttle. I didnt have time to preserver with it, neither did anyone else it seems. So of course we put MoTeC in it. The proof will be in the pudding when I get onto the water with it tomorrow... to do some idle tuning with the load of the jet on it. BTW we are racing tommorow also. 16.01.2022 A little over 12 years ago I was thrown in the deep end, working for one of the oldest tune shops in Perth I was left to fill a gap and start tuning after other employees left. ( I probably upset them to be honest, later finding out I was known as the "golden child " ) After learning to tune OEM ecus in my own time ( primarily LS based cars using HP tuners), Work then as I knew it was a user/ dealer of MoTeC . I'm grateful for my time and foray into aftermarket ecu tuning an...d particularly the fact it was using arguably the best/ best value aftermarket engine management in the world market. Of many types of race vehicles, this is where I started tuning off road race cars. Now a MoTeC dealer myself for nearly 3 years, last weekend was actually my first off road event I've actually attended, the Kalgoorlie Desert Race. Tune Corp had over 10 starters in the car field that we have either just diagnosed issues, tuned, completed full re-wires/ tuning/ programming of MoTeC products. I'm proud to have been involved with the 1st, 2nd, 11th place getters, as well as recently tuning the 4th place buggy ( built by SS Racetech ). There was a lot a data to sift through over the weekend. We were lucky to have secret weapon Tom on board taking care of Data acquisition/ analysis on the immaculate Outer Bounds Racing geiser bros truck. I have to thank Adam, Keith and Beau for getting us there, as well as the Elphinstone Racing crew for the hospitality on site. Awesome bunch of people. Thanks

14.01.2022 A little job we plumbed up for a very tidy VT Clubsport circuit/ targa car we tune. No more fuel surge now thanks to @radiumengineering @brownandmiller @turbosmarthq ... We dont only use speedflow. When your after that edge and want the lightest possible fuel lines and fittings we stock a large range from BMRS. From -3 through -20 for all aspects from brake lines to water / oil / fuel. Take your pick. 13.01.2022 One of the GM tunes from this week was this immaculate VF2 LS3 powered ute. Already running a cam but the owner was unhappy with how it ran. Not much of a power gain but it's no longer running on the ragged edge and we dialed in a little "crackle" which is what he was after. Check the comparison dyno graph.

11.01.2022 A little follow up from this mornings Sunday sleuth.. Many picked a drop in fuel pressure as the issue I was referring too. This is 100% correct, but only 2 picked up that our desired lambda (AFR) was bang on target! How can this be? I havent even tuned this engine yet, ( my VE table is just a lucky guess) so I havent tuned around a drop in fuel pressure.... I'll try and go through the basics and explain what's at play here, Pic 2- A VE table ( volumetric efficiency) The % of air filling each cylinder per cycle. This is the table you tune to get you to your desired lambda. Pic 3 - Simply a desired lambda table. ( how rich or lean we want the engine at different loads) The ECU uses this input to calculate the required fuel to inject in conjunction with our VE table. Pic 4 - A 4D fuel injector linearisation table. ( data supplied by MoTeC) The ECU commands an actual fuel volume (as calculated in this table as to what can be supplied at different battery voltages and injector on time) So if pressure drops away ( or raises ) the ECU still injects the correct volume of fuel. ( super handy when that fuel pressure reg vacuum source hose gets blown off) This is not new technology with OEMs using it in petrol and diesel direct injection systems. MoTeC is the only standalone that I've tuned that runs this technology but I'm sure the others will soon try and follow. #MoTeC #racesmart #innovatedontimitate #tunecorped

10.01.2022 Ben's 2jz powered 34 back up and running with a basic m130gpr install. Bit of a play here setting up shift cut for the new ST6 LP Albins trans. This run was 50% ign cut, 50% fuel cut and 30 deg retard. The engine went 750hp at the hubs on 25psi today. Ign coil and intercooler updates coming soon! 06.01.2022 Another long term project almost out the door. M130 install, full flex tune. 464awhp on 98 at 22psi. 560awhp on e85 at 30psi. Built 2.5 with a 64mm precision. 02.01.2022 A few of the latest updates to this BRZ/86... After the boys at Stecnic supplied and installed the new hollinger, we installed the new (customer supplied) steering wheel and D175 display. Then onto the dyno for calibrating the shift cut and down blips with the existing M150. Thanks Street Neat Auto Electrics for the neat steering wheel install, and AJ for the awesome display creator updates on the D175. Things like launch activation, traction switch, boost level select are ...all CAN'd across from the ECU, along with all the normal engine parameters.
